"Dear Santa,

First, I want to say thank you for bringing me and my foster such a good Christmas last year, it was even better than our first! They've taken great care of me, but this season is all about giving. So, this year, I want to finally find my own forever home so maybe another lucky cat at the shelter can have a well deserved break, just like I did!

I would be happy almost anywhere, so it shouldn't be hard for someone like you! I love people and animals alike, but I'm only able to live with FELV+ cats just like me. My foster family is always praising me for being so sweet, especially to their dog who's become a good friend of mine! I want a family just as sweet as I am, that keeps me close and warm when I'm not feeling well and gives me lots of treats when I do! The vet may have taken my teeth, but they sure didn't take my appetite!

Most of all, though, I want to give my foster family a chance to help a cat who's as scared as I was when I first came to BCHS. Everyone tells me how easy I am to fall in love with, so I know you can do it, Santa! Thanks again!

It's been almost a month since we found miss Mercy outside our building. When she came in, she was scared and didn't know where she was. We took her in and made sure she got warm, fed, and so much love.

And now, Mercy is absolutely flourishing! She's been slowly opening up to us and has realized that we are here to keep her safe and comfortable, we couldn't be more grateful for her trust in us. She wiggled her way into all of our hearts and we are so honored to have the privilege to care for her!

We have discovered that Mercy would do best in a home where she can thrive as the only animal. You can apply to adopt her through our website or in person. We also want to thank everyone who has donated towards her care! We couldn't have helped her without you!

Meet Gabbana! Gabbana is a 4 year old female gray pitty mix who came to BCHS as a stray with another dog. Like her name implies, she prefers to be spoiled, dressed up in sweaters, wrapped up in cozy blankets, and ALL the attention! This sweet girl will absolutely adore her new family she’s the definition of a velcro dog, while also being miss independent! Our staff has noted how spunky Gabbana is once she gets to know you making lil pig noises when she plays, has such nice leash manners, and doesn’t mind baths, haha. Gabbana is one of those dogs where the second you meet her, you will wonder how you ever lived your life without her. Gabbana is ready to cover her new family in kisses and hugs, could that be you?

Gabbana would do well in most homes, but we recommend she meet everyone who lives in the home or visits the home often due to her initial shyness. If there are feline housemates, we would like to retest her. She’s had some successful social walks with dogs here, so if there is a dog in the home already a dog introduction is required.

Meet Olive! She's a 2 year old short haired female who came to us as a stray 7/14/2024. She was very hesitant to trust the staff when she came in but once she realized she was safe, she began to shine! Olive wants to be loved so badly and we know she will be such an amazing cat once she finds her forever home!

He is still full of life, and maneuvers around excellent. Bean is vey friendly with people, and may enjoy the company of a calmer dog! He would do best in a home that is willing to assist him because of his visual limitations.
