I am excited to announce that Grooming By Brandi is rebranding as The Perfect Spot as well as returning to South Reno; sharing space inside of Fur & Feather Works at 9475 Double R Boulevard Suite 12. Business hours will be Monday through Friday 8-4:30. I believe this new space will prove calmer and less stressful for most of the canine clientele. The Perfect Spot has both Google and Yelp business pages, so please leave a review and help my small business grow. Word of mouth has always been a great source of clients and I appreciate those referrals from each and every one of you; I couldn’t have made it this far without your help. I hope to see you all there soon!

I recently teamed up with The Dog House Rescue to be part of the crew helping these dogs find a forever home. I have always been a believer that as a dog lover, who happens to have a set of skills many dogs can benefit from, that I truly should be using those skills to help the dogs who need it most, and I’m so honored to finally be able to do that through The Dog House.

The first dog that Devin and I were able to help was Snuggles. We gave her a deshed service that removed a ton of compacted coat, that almost felt like matting. With a bath that included a deep conditioning service, blow out, and brush out, Snuggles’ skin can breathe easier and she’s feeling softer and more ready to live up to her name.

Snuggles may be one of the quietest huskies that I have met in nearly a decade of grooming. Never once crying or otherwise seeming concerned for either grooming or kenneling. Throughout the entire service she could be described as a model citizen who seemed just happy to feel the love.

Snuggles is available for adoption now.

‘Tis the season for big changes! Skylar’s parents take great care of her coat, and bring her in every 2 weeks for a professional bath and brush-out. This week they decided it was time to change it up. After spending the entire appointment time worried that they would regret it, they instantly fell in love with her new do at pickup! I think she looks pretty cute no matter how she wears her hair.

Last night I had the incredible opportunity to lead a workshop all about how to maintain your long-coated dog in between grooming. It was such a fun way to get a little more involved in this community while helping improve the lives of the dogs I’m here to serve. How wonderful it is to see pet-parents invested in the well being of their animals.
I want to give a huge thank you to Fur and Feather Works for giving me the opportunity to share my passion. The team there is always finding new ways to help make sure your pet is living their best lives. Our local dogs, cats, and birds are lucky to have them.

Today I was able to share my birthday with some of the sweetest dog and owner combos. It was a day filled with great conversation, puppy kisses, coffee, cake, and so much happiness.

I am absolutely blessed to have a place of business that I want to spend my best and worst days on, and it is only possible thanks to my amazing clientele.

To everyone I didn’t have the pleasure of seeing today: give your pup a hug from me and tell them I can’t wait to see them again!!

I will be going over different tools and techniques to help improve your pup’s grooming confidence, as well as guide each owner in how to properly brush and maintain a matt free coat in between groomings.

Our Grooming Your Fluffy Dog at Home Workshop will be held on Friday June 23 at 6:00pm. This workshop is appropriate for all dogs with long hair coats. Tuition for this invaluable class is just $50.

When a dog falls asleep on my table I have been given the highest compliment possible as a groomer. A dog asleep on my table means more to me than any tip or five star review. Grooming is not the same to a dog as a spa day is to us: dogs go out of their way to become as stinky as possible and do not wish to become clean again. They don’t understand why brushing their hair is a necessity and why sometimes getting the tangles out doesn’t feel good. Your dog would much rather be playing with friends or cuddling with you. But us groomers go out of our way to make their experiences in our salon as fulfilling and enjoyable as possible. When a dog falls asleep on my table I know I have done just that. A sleepy dog is a dog who is at peace and knows he is safe. I am honored to be a safe place for so many of my clients.

With 9 years experience in grooming I am proficient in most breed cuts, as well as many pet-style trims. I am truly passionate about what I do, and I hope that it shows through every haircut I put into the world, and every puppy kiss I receive while grooming them.
