Barks & Bubbles is a success! Fun for humans and dogs and we’re so excited to see so many people stopping by our Options table! The more people who know about our nonprofit clinic, the more pets we can help! 🥂🐶🩵🐱🩷🥂
Sweet, young Marmalade is available for adoption! ❤ Email [email protected] to meet him or find out more!
Marmalade was found in a Winco parking lot. He's a bit shy at first, but a calm, quiet home and a patient person help him relax - as his foster family has discovered! He's neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and all he's missing is love! Will you help us find that for him? ❤😻
It’s a happy holiday tail for Blitzen! From scared and shy to sweet and affectionate, she is getting the best holiday gift—a home! 😺❤️

Chili and Butternut
Our Heartwarming Save #5... Chili and Butternut ❤️
Chili and Butternut had been at Washoe County Regional Animal Services for a couple weeks, and no other organization had space for them. They had a common and completely treatable skin fungus, ringworm (same as athlete’s foot in humans). Options Veterinary Care and our wonderful volunteers stepped up to save their lives.
The siblings were transferred to Options nonprofit clinic, and we quickly put out a plea for help. They needed a foster home with their own private space where they would receive treatment until they recovered and were ready to be adopted into loving homes.
Last week, they were given the all-clear—Chili and Butternut are 100% healthy! This week these adorable brothers will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and adopted just in time for the holidays. To keep the kittens entertained and to help make them even more adoptable, their foster mom taught them how to give high fives and sit!
Options created a foster care program this year to save the lives of some of the most vulnerable animals in our community. We are stepping in to fill a void in our community so that precious lives are not lost.
The challenge? It’s not without a cost. We provide all of the medical care for foster pets, including spay/neuter surgery, vaccinations, and microchips. Options staff work hard to care for them and find foster and adoptive homes. We can only do this with your support. We are so thankful to you and glad we can celebrate the good work together this holiday season. It takes a village, and YOU are part of the village for pets in need when you donate to Options.
If you want to get involved, here are a few things you can do to help:
🐾 Sign up to become a foster family! We provide vet care, supplies, training, support, and more. Email [email protected] to get started.
🐾 Donate funds to help us care for foster animals! Every amount helps. Donate online at the link below or ma

We LOVE this! ❤️ This is one of the kittens who needed foster care last week. In a matter of days, she went from scared to this. Do you see how important (and easy) socialization is? And how rewarding it is? This calico hasn't even been in foster care for a week, and her foster family says "She’s coming out of her shell sooooo much and is an absolute love bug!" ❤️ We are so thankful for fosters! P.S. We still need more fosters, so email [email protected] to get involved!
Pets Helped Summer 2023
📣 Check out our latest video! 📣
It's our thank-you to you, on behalf of just a few of the animals you have helped through Options Veterinary Care this summer.
These pets are happier and healthier through your generous support of Options − Northern Nevada’s first and only nonprofit veterinary clinic!
Here are just a few of the feral cats who received their FVRCP vaccines this week thanks to @petcolove 😺❤️ In total, over 20 benefited from this cool #VaccinatedAndLoved campaign! Help us show support by spreading the word to give cats their best shot.
Feral cats need protection from preventable illness and here at Options Veterinary Care we’re happy to provide for them. Partnering with local TNR groups allows us to team up and make an even bigger difference for feral cats, providing spay and neuter, vaccines and more!

Giving Thanks for Options Veterinary Care
Mike, and his dogs Keeks and Little Bit, are long time, loyal clients. You may remember hearing about a dog as Mayor for the Day - that was Keeks! Now, in light of Thanksgiving and Giving Tuesday, Mike shares why he values Options Veterinary Care, northern Nevada's only nonprofit vet clinic. We're thankful for your donations because you enable us to help him.❤
Giving Tuesday is more important than ever this year. With rising costs for nearly everything and a nationwide veterinary staffing shortage, the need for affordable veterinary care is greater than ever. Through November 29, donations are matched up to $10,000, so please, donate today to Options, Northern Nevada’s first and only nonprofit veterinary clinic, to prevent pets in our community from suffering. ❤
Happy Halloween
When witches go riding and black cats are seen, the moon laughs and whispers, 'tis near Halloween.

Options Veterinary Care makes sure that no pet in need goes without veterinary care for financial reasons. As a nonprofit clinic, we rely on community support to fund our programs and appreciate all of your donations. Here are just a few of the pets who recently received care at Options, and whose families benefitted from your support. YouTube link is also below for sharing. 🐶🐱 https://youtu.be/JfEsyGvQaq4
Kurt stopped by recently to make a donation to pay off the treatment invoice for Ziggy, someone else's pet. And while he was here, he asked if he could cover anyone else's bill — and helped Creamsicle. In this short video, he explains why he wanted to donate to our nonprofit clinic. If you donate today or tomorrow (#GivingTuesday), your donation will be matched up to $25,000! https://www.optionsveterinarycare.org/donate
You may remember Harlow whose people couldn't afford amputation for a badly injured leg at another clinic back in early July so they came to Options. Not only could they afford our prices, but Dr. Pearson saved the leg by inserting pins. Harlow got her sutures out today, and here she is curiously walking around Options' waiting room as content as can be. So wonderful to see!
Here's a video showing a few of the people and pets Options has helped recently. In the past four weeks, we've seen the most patients of any four-week period since we opened in December. Thanks to all who've donated to our nonprofit clinic, posted reviews online, or spread the word — helping pets in need is a community effort!
