EXCITING NEWS: Mob K9 is hosting their first client appreciation photoshoot.
My good friend, and photographer Brianna will be hanging out for 3 whole hours at Idlewild Park on October 5th, 2024. We have her from 9-12. Everyone's mini session will be 15 minutes long, you can do some cool sport dog pictures or some cute little family pictures with props that will be provided.
Please reach out to get on the schedule for that day. This is completely free for you guys, it's just a way for me to show how much I appreciate you guys, and how thankful I am for you guys this past year, so come get some cute pictures with your dogs!!

Today was Slugs first day using the e-collar. He already had a pretty good understanding of ne-po-po from his prong collar, but it was a good reminder for both of us that it needs to be worked more often.
I also encountered a bully today, and I'd like to talk about that a little bit. First, I'm sorry you got offended when I stimmed my dog away from your water bowl. I literally don't know you, and my dogs health and safety is always my number one priority. Secondly, calling me names because you didn't like the way I was using my e-collar is ridiculous. You're literally an older woman, who should know better, and quite frankly you're so lucky that I've done a lot of work in therapy. The cool thing about training tools is the fact that we can use them however we want with our dogs.. for example I didn't call you an idiot when I was walking into the park and you told your dog that you were going to give him "big zappies" if he didn't listen, and kept telling him "platz, platz, platz." Repeatedly. Or his fence aggression anytime someone walked by. Lastly, you can't just ask people who they're voting for as soon as they walk into the park. That's weird as hell.

Here's a couple of announcements for you.

1.) I will be out of office September 15th-30th! If you need boarding referrals during that time, please let me know and I can connect you with someone that has that availability.

2.) Payment is due at the time of service.
(Long term (2+ week's.) Boards/ board and trains not applicable. I'll still be offering a split payment option for those services.)

Rewarding Engagement means that your dog learns that good things happen if they pay attention to you.

Meet Duncan!
He's here for a board and train to deal with some reactivity. Duncan is not a people person, or a dog person. Duncan is a "my family are the only people I like" kind of person.
This last week i worked really hard on building my relationship with him, so he'd respect the corrections I was making with out being scared and redirecting on me. It involved a lot of hand feeding, e-collar conditioning, and taking his training back to the basics. Building trust with a dog takes time, and can't be rushed in this case.
He is genuinely the sweetest boy, and I know he's beyond capable of working through his reactivity.

I have a few weekends available for boarding as well, slide into the DM's for specific weekends.
I started booking my one on one's only a week in advance, so it's easier for the people to get on my schedule.
I have LIMITED sport foundations spots open. So if you have a bitey dog that needs work, reach out and get on the schedule ASAP.

2 years ago today I brought my soul dog home. Dogs have a way of finding you when you need them the most, and I'm forever thankful that this foul drooly creature found his way to me. Mob K9 wouldn't be Mob without Luca Brassi.

Be prepared to see a lot of these two for the next couple days.
Meet Sirius and Skatha. The world's cutest German Shepard and Dutch Shepard. These two come jam packed with an insane amount of drive.
Sirius is one of my favorite dogs I've ever met. He's an exceptional example of what his breed should look like, and an absolute menace.. in the best way.
Skathas drive is unmatched to any dog I've ever met. She's 🌶spicy🌶. That being said, she is damn smart and just wants to make her handler happy. Also has phenomenal possession of anything she can put her mouth on (including jacket drawstrings, rocks, leashes.) If you live in my neighborhood and see me wrestling a dutchie to try and get a rock of of her mouth, no you didn't. 😂
Anyone with working dogs knows how you have you have to do so much planning to take vacations or trips anywhere, and having a place that understands your dogs needs, and gets them worked is always ideal. That's what Mob K9 strives to be. A place where you feel safe leaving your working dog, and trusting that they're getting the engagement they need instead of just being bored in a kennel like other boarding facilities.
