Dear Clients,

I haven’t posted in a long time. As many of you know, our boarding resort is filled with kitties who all have specific needs and since we have a large, loyal client base, we really don’t need to market our business. We use our time to focus on cat care and to make sure the needs of all of our clients are met, especially during family tragedies that require us to quickly provide help. So, even though we no longer do rescue work, we work tirelessly to help cats once they are adopted.

As some of you may already know, a couple of days ago Washoe County Regional Animal Services seized 101 cats from a heartbreaking hoarding situation. Needless to say, our local system designed to protect our vulnerable homeless cat population is severely taxed. Animal services employees as well as rescue organizations large and small are working tirelessly to create a strong safety net for these poor cats. It’s a sad situation indeed, and any compassionate cat lover would respect our cat rescue community who are all deep in the trenches, sacrificing sleep, resources and even skipping regularly meals due to lack of time so they can help as many cats as possible.

One of those rescuers in the trenches is Rachel Story with Feral At Heart. It literally breaks my heart to know that we have a “cat rescuer” in the community masquerading as a cat lover. Believe me when I say this is not the first incident of Kallie Laity with Kitty Kisses Cat Cafe/Kitty Kisses Rescue pulling stunts to hurt cats in our community. Instead of helping cats, now Rachel needs to redirect her time and energy to deal with this.

It’s shameful. As a cat lover, you need to be aware of what this woman is capable of.

We’re honestly beyond disgusted right now.

Our recent post about kittens being fostered through Feral at Heart, a well-respected local rescue, was reported as “spam” on Nextdoor in an effort to have it removed.
These kittens were simply being promoted to find safe, loving homes.

We’ve learned that 𝐊𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐞 𝐋𝐚𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐊𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐲 𝐊𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐂𝐚𝐟𝐞́ 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐞, 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐭 𝐚𝐬 “𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐦.”

This isn’t just petty — it’s harmful.

With 101 cats recently seized and sent to Washoe County, rescues are completely overwhelmed.
Every adoption post matters. Attempting to take these efforts down directly impacts the ability to save lives.

𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐛𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭?
Kallie constantly preaches kindness and runs a rescue herself.
She knows how hard this work is.
She knows what’s at stake.
Yet she’s actively sabotaging other organizations doing the same work.

After discovering who reported out adoption post, we reached out privately to Kallie to ask why she would do something like this and let her know we would be going public with it.
She read our message,
blocked us without a response,
then very shortly after, she posted on FB claiming her email had been conveniently "hacked" yesterday.
A quick and clever cover-up after learning we would be sharing the truth.

Hackers are not in the business to report adoption posts as "spam"; they're after personal information (something she assured her followers was NOT taken).

This behavior follows her long history of creating falsities online to avoid accountability, as well as the history of blocking anyone who asks her valid questions.
Kallie also has a documented pattern of creating fake Yelp and Google accounts-both to harm other businesses including 𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐰𝐧 𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 who had a negative experience with her, and to give herself positive reviews following any negative ones received.

We feel it’s important to make this public so the community understands who is working against rescue efforts under the guise of support, and because her ongoing harmful behavior is escalating and can no longer be ignored.

Absolutely shameful.

CAT SHELTER CAPACITY IS NOW CRITICAL! We have had over a dozen clients who have had their kitties cross The Rainbow Bridge over the last few months. Please consider opening your hearts and homes to foster or adoption. There are so many cats and kittens in our community who need help before they are euthanized. ADOPT, FOSTER, DONATE OR VOLUNTEER TODAY!

This is no joke, and nothing to take lightly.
Urgent plea for fosters by TOMORROW! ‼️

Tonight we took a gut wrenching walk down the rows and rows of FULL cat kennels at Washoe County Regional Animal Services as we navigate through which cats most urgently need to be saved and how many we can help.

There are about 30 cats of all walks of life, from kittens to adults, friendly, to spicy,
that are at or past their “due out” date which means, they are at risk for euthanasia every day moving forward when more cats enter the facility and need their kennel space.

This is a very sad reality that no one wants to hear or think about, but something you cannot turn a blind eye to as you lock eyes with each cat.

We need committed fosters by TOMORROW.
Please fill out our questionnaire below so we can chat tonight and get these cats secured tomorrow.

This little guy pictured was secured tonight and went home tonight with our amazing foster Laura.
He entered WCRAS on June 5th, and has been waiting for a rescue until today. 😢
