We are very excited to announce a new addition to our team!

Dr. Libby Winn was born and raised in the Reno-Sparks area and obtained two Bachelor’s of Science degrees in Veterinary Studies and Biology at the University of Nevada Reno. She worked as a technician at a local animal hospital before moving to attend veterinary school.

Dr. Winn graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in Southern California and was inducted into Phi Zeta, the National Honors Society of Veterinary Medicine. She has a special interest in small animal dermatology and ophthalmology.

When she’s not busy with her patients and clients, Dr. Winn enjoys spending time with her fiance Eli and their three kitties Lucifer, Mazikeen, and Mushu. She is an avid board game enthusiast and has quite the collection!

Mount Rose Animal Hospital is a busy 8-doctor veterinary practice located in beautiful South Reno near the Mount Rose Highway. We are only 15-20 minutes from Mount Rose Ski Resort, and 30 minutes from beautiful Lake Tahoe.

We are seeking a part-time to full-time Associate Veterinarian interested in joining a positive, pro-active team. Our professional and courteous staff seek to provide the best possible medical, surgical, and dental care for our highly-valued patients. We are committed to promoting responsible pet ownership and preventative health care and building strong patient-client-doctor relationships.

We have ultrasound, digital x-ray, dentistry, and orthopedic surgical equipment. Competitive salary and benefits, which include a 401-K plan, a group health insurance plan, paid licensing fees and dues, and a generous CE budget. No after hours emergencies or on-call.

February is National Pet Dental Health Month! We are offering 10% off all dental procedures in February!

Mount Rose Animal Hospital will be changing its hours of operation beginning Saturday November 27, 2021. We will be closed on Saturdays going forward and extending our hours during the work week. We did not come to this decision lightly, but with the increasing demand for appointments during the week, we have decided to relocate our doctors and staff from Saturday. This will allow us to see more patients during the week, hopefully decreasing the referrals to emergency hospitals during the day.

On Saturdays we realize this will impact our availability for medications and prescription food pick up. To help offset those difficulties, we will be extending our hours during the week. We will open at 7am and stay open until 6pm. We will not have a doctor available from 7-7:30am and 5:30-6pm. We sincerely hope this is not inconvenient for any of our clients and patients, and we have made this choice solely for the increased amount of patient care we will be able to provide during the week.
