While gifting your loved one a puppy for the holidays might sound like a great idea, the data out there tells us it's not! Shelters have an increase in dogs and puppies right after the holiday season. This may be because the holidays are a terrible time to bring home a puppy or new dog!

Why?

🎄 Your schedule is usually crazy and inconsistent, meaning your training will be too.
🐾 You may be traveling or having visitors.
🎄You won't have extra time to deal with a new dog or puppy.
🐾 It's cold outside, and potty training won't be fun.
🎄Decorations and holiday meals become hazards to a new dog or puppy... and who wants to spend the holidays at the pet emergency room?!

You can teach your kitty that the carrier is a safe, happy place, and you can make them more comfortable getting in it. This will help reduce your cat's stress when it comes to vet visits and is also a great safety skill to teach your cat in case you need to evacuate your home quickly.

Meet Simba! Simba loves his training sessions, but what he loved most about cat school was ... ⭐✨the printer✨⭐ Simba was in training because he was harassing his older "sister" car, Tumbles. Tumbles had taken to avoiding him by hiding under the bed and never coming out. On our last session we caught this photo of Tumbles and Simba *almost* cuddling on the cat tree! Simba isn't perfect yet (don't tell him that), but his relationship with Tumbles is soooo much better, and everyone in the house is happier for it. 😃 #CatTraining #catbehavior #PositiveReinforcement #RenoNV
