Ripley is a gelding that we have had in our program for the last year and a half. He will sit like a dog, lay down on command, and has been started in liberty work. He is extremely versatile. One day, you can go rope and doctor cattle, and the next day put an english saddle on him. He also recently started in the cart, making for a fun weekend stroll. He has been a handy horse to have around, as we've used him to pony younger stock and problem horses in training. He has been hauled all over and trail ridden by beginners. At 4 years old his experience is amazing! He’s been ridden down the road, around the farm, in the ring, and out on the hunt field. He’s a big, but yet, sporty boy, with a soft mouth, and 3 balanced gaits. He can take both canter leads from the walk and his breaks are great. Videos Available! Jethro is an AQHA registered 6 year old gelding, with more life experiences than most horses in their teens. He was used to doctor cattle on the ranch on a daily basis. You can rope a cow, step off to doctor it and he will hold the line tight until you tell him differently. Jethro has such a go with the flow personality. He has been asked to rope feral hogs in the deep brush, and given lessons to kids after standing in the stall after a few days in just a halter and lead rope. He has roped out of the box on the head side, and will pull strong. His willing attitude to do whatever is asked of him, with a low quiet head and soft eye, is what I admire most about this gelding. He is great out on the trail, carefully placing his feet to take care of his rider in any situation. He has an excellent one-handed neck rein, and will move willingly off of your leg cues. From rough country, to metroparks on the east coast with runners, stollers, dogs, and traffic- Jethro handles it all in stride. Pirate is a VERY well built Black Tobiano Paint Quarter Horse Gelding, standing a solid 15.1hh, weighing 1250lbs, he is 10 years old. Pirate comes by his name honest as he has a neat little white patch over each of his eyes. He has been trained with natural horsemanship and liberty training methods. He is trained to sidepass over to a mounting block, trailer fender, tree stump, ect…set on his rump, he will bow down and he is very at laying down as well. Pirate has one of the easiest and softest lopes you will ever set on! Pirate is a very confident horse that is not spooky around anything or any situation and he is as close to bombproof as you’ll see. He has been camping, used around cows including roping and dragging cows into a trailer, he has penned cattle at a stockyards, been trail ridden hundreds of miles, will spin both ways, sidepass, back, slide stop, open and shut gates. He has also been drove under harness. Pirate loves attention in any form that he can get it whether that be brushing or bathing and has a ton of personality! He will follow you anywhere at you go at liberty and he is also easy to catch out of the pasture! Just whistle and he will come to you anywhere that you are. He has been ridden around farm equipment, ATV’s, over large noisy tarps and has also had guns shot off of his back. No matter where he goes or what he does, Pirate is not spooky acting. He has been exposed to all kinds of wildlife such as deer or turkey or other animals like cows or dogs and will go anywhere that he is asked too. He has been rode many miles in the mountains of Eastern Kentucky and encountered every obstacle possible on the trail. He will go up or down even the steepest slopes, across deep creeks, over downed trees, and over all types of rough terrain while still being sure footed. He has been rode in traffic, and is very traffic safe around cars, semi, log, and dump trucks. He in one of the friendliest horses that you will find, in fact he will follow you around like a puppy. Perseus is a 5 year old bay gelding standing at 16.1 hands. He will most likely top out at 16.3-17 hands like his full brother. He was imprinted at birth and handled on a regular basis. He has had extensive ground training with the Clinton Anderson Method and is has been under full training. He WTC and is broke to ride, he hacks out alone or with other horses. He is a sweet and loving boy and will make a great performance horse for dressage, western dressage, or possible jumping. The intelligence of this gelding is amazing . He has the ability to learn quickly and wants to please which makes him a pleasure to work with. His dam has wonderful performance bloodlines such as Champion Wing Commander, Champion Courageous Admiral, Anacacho, Bourbon, and Denmark bloodlines, as well as his Friesian sires grand-sire Pyt a 4 times Natl Champion, some of his half siblings have made 4 and 5 gaited so he will have talent and movement. All his siblings are performing well in dressage and winning High Point in their breed division. Georgian Grandes are a rare breed. We prefer combining the Saddlebred with the Friesian, this is the perfect blend for all disciplines and makes the perfect sport horse. His full brother stands at 17 hands and is 1300 lbs.
