Ooooodles of Doodles are around the town,
Always 50% poodle but the other half I’ve found,
Can be goldens or labs or BMDs oh my—I’ve seen a list of 14– and I say with a sigh…
That every doodle I’ve met is 100% fun
From morning till night until every day is done!

I love potatoes in any form,
Mashed or boiled, but baked is my norm.
Then there are French fries, a group I consider all its own,
I get them, when needed, when I’m clearly in the zone.

So to name a fur-baby, Potato is genius indeed.
It solves my love craving, and does it with speed!
The only thing I love more than potatoes is pets in all breeds.
So a dog named Potato solves all my love needs!

Our present world is like a market, full of impersonal connections.
That we face daily and our shopping has many directions
We can shop to give us the love and comfort we crave.
To get us thru life—cradle to grave.

Posting or texting gets some thru their day.
Drinks are flowing and their life is all play.
I guess for some, that works for awhile.
Their shopping is always in the snack food aisle.

For those like me, it’s the personal connections
that have steered my life in the right directions.
My love for pets have always filled any void.
I don’t need posts that try to be Freud.

But here I am doing what I thought I should not
Posting a photo, and words; but a selfie, it’s not.
It’s a baby Pit named Penny who has my heart tied up in knots
My life’s shopping is the pet food aisle, and this post—a heartful penny of my thoughts!

Nor their grace, their elegance and they’re built for speed!
