What a winter!! But Rick has been busy this spring trying to get these seedlings to poke their heads out.
All we have so far are tomato plants & they are not as tall as usual because we are opening sales a bit early. They are still $5/plant & all the same as we have had as before, from Baker Creek or Rare seeds. If you are interested, we will be open about 10-4 or5 tomorrow. So stop by & check them out. “How to start your seeds”

Hi everyone! I know this year was a hard one in my garden. Hope you all had better results.
Well on to hopefully better things!
FALL Y’all
Yes it is time to start thinking about all the things to plant for winter & my favorite garlic, onions & shallots.
Onions & shallots you will want to get starter bulbs. Most nurseries will have them so pick your favorite. Remember our favorite catalog is Baker Creek good people, good products. Now, on to my favorite.... Garlic. So you can get your bulbs from Baker Creek, local nurseries or your local grocery store! Yes you can buy a bulb or 2 from them then break it up into individual cloves & plant that. Your soil needs to be rich in nutrients so feed it with compost. After planting, wet it down, cover it with straw , then wet it down again.. Wet it again monthly, if there is no moisture. Then in February increase watering to every other week, if no moisture. Remember if there is moisture & then things freeze let it go till it thaws & starts to dry. April increase watering to your regular watering days/schedule. Also, pull/cut off any flowering to keep all the energy going back down to the bulb. July you will shut the watering off to your crop & Mid July you should be able to harvest you crop.
