It is no secret that we didn't hold as many clinics this year, largely in part to the extreme heat we endured this summer.

So in an attempt to make sure your dogs are well protected, we will be scheduling as many private, at-home training classes as we can over the next week, and if the weather hold, maybe a little longer.

We are honoring the same clinic rates this year, only adding a small set up fee per location so you can easily split this up between your friends, family and neighbors who join in!

So if you are interested in having your dog trained or the training reinforced, please send us a PM with the following information:

your email
your phone number
number of dogs (this can include your friends and family that want to attend as well)
and availability (which days and morning, afternoon, evening)

We were extremely saddened to hear about the passing of one of our long time supporters & class hosts, Randall Rector.

We will continue to provide classes in Jerome, Idaho with the High Desert Pointing Dog Club as they've shared how big of an impact these classes have had on the success of their club, but it definitely won't be the same without him!

RIP Randall, thank you for years of friendship and believing in us. You will be missed so much.

Another hot day, but we made it to Auburn, CA!

On a serious note - Our Host let us know that some people were extremely unfriendly towards their staff with the rescheduling.

Keep in mind that we are a small, family owned business based in Reno, NV with 4 total core seasonal crew members (all family).
When the pass is closed, there isn't anything we can do.

Do NOT berate our Hosts for something out of their control. You will not be welcomed back to our classes.

Hopefully Bowman will invite us back next year but after what they were put through we can understand if they do not.

Occasionally we get stories about someone trying to reinforce the training by using a freshly killed snake.
When you bring your dog to us you will walk away with a certificate of completion, a rattlesnake facts vs myth sheet & a set of rules to follow after the class.
These rules aren't shared just to waste the paper, they are very important to follow for this training to be effective.

For starters, we are here largely due to our admiration and respect for native reptiles (along with many reputable avoidance trainers).
Knowing that a snake was killed in an attempt to reinforce training is a serious downer for our crew and the opposite of what we aim to accomplish.
It is tough enough when we get a least 1 - 3 cheerful stories during every class about snakes being killed, which none of us will acknowledge in hopes you'll move on to another topic.
Most of our snakes have been with our family for 15 years or more, and we value them as much as you value your dog.....yes, it is weird and unusual. Please respect this.

Please, please, please read and follow these rules!
If you go against them, we cannot help.

If there is ever doubt, let us know!
We are insanely busy, but we will do our best to follow up where needed if there is cause for concern.

If you ever spot a snake that your dog has not registered, do NOT use that as an opportunity to test/reinforce any avoidance training - it usually will not go the way you'd like it to.

Just walk away and continue with your day.
