Poppy and I loaded up and went to a mushing try it type event and had such an awesome time! She made lots of friends and did incredible in the harness today, nevermind her first time in a regular x back. I wish I could have gotten video of her beasting out pulling me solo today a significant distance but she is too fast for me to confidently remove a hand from the handle bars lol. Poppy has outgrown my harnesses, did so good today I’ll be ordering her her own custom x back and freight harness.

Puppy count rads are scheduled for 3 days prior to first possible whelp date 🫶🏻

2 of my past pups are in need of a new home. Both are fixed/up to date on vetting. A home together would be ideal as they have grown up together their entire life. Mahogany red standard coat female turns 3 this month and a grey standard coat male turns 3 in January. Send PM for application. Located local to me in Indiana.

Flash back Friday to baby Foxy. She’s coming up hot on 3 years old this month and is expecting her first litter in a month. She is the first malamute puppy I ever kept back out of my own litters and is such an amazing dog. She is calm, gentle, intelligent, and eager to please. She loves being in a harness as much as she loves laying in bed all day. She loves playing in the water, thankfully she has outgrown bucket diving though. She doesn’t display much if any SSA depending on the other girl. Her best friends here are Hondo (baby daddy), Jake, Jade, and Erebus. Foxy is standard size in height and weight, I’m hoping to add some size and correction to her tail set by pairing her with Hondo. Hondo has all the same desirable temperament and traits as Fox, a recipe for the most incredible pets you don’t want to miss out on.

Samantha Jo and Flash will be giving us several something’s to be thankful for on Thanksgiving or shortly after! Confirmed pregnant via Fetal Doppler with good strong heartbeats and Ultrasound for an idea of what we’re in for. I found 5 in a cluster so I’m thinking we’re in for a gut buster. This will be Samantha Jo’s final litter, she is an excellent mother which positively affects her pups temperaments on top of already being from parents with awesome dispositions.

This litter will be embark tested shortly after birth to help me pick my keeper, picks will not be available until 6 weeks +

Thank you to Marie with Warrior’s Legacy Alaskan Malamutes for allowing me the use of Flash and being able to add the line to my program.

Both parents have official OFA scores for Hips and Elbows as well as clear Embark genetic test. Samantha Jo also has OFA clearances for eyes, basic cardiac, and patellar luxation.

Puppy count x-ray is scheduled for 11/25

This picture came up in my memories from a year ago. Yukon is just a big ol pupper. He was 147 in this pic, he’s just over 150 at a healthy weight now and finally done growing 🥰

We will know in about 2 weeks if we will have Yukon babies this winter 🫶🏻🥰

You could say we had a successful weekend 💪🏼👏🏼 Iggy had a personal best Saturday and then topped it by running over 22mph today!!! Yukon seemed to remember today it’s about chasing the lure and had a couple really driven runs. Definitely ended on a high note 🙌🏼 Till next year we will dream of chasing rabbits 🫶🏻

Igloo and Yukon both had 2 qualifying runs this morning and did great. We will go back for 2 more runs tomorrow with those 2 and Drift to wrap up our season. Hoping to end on a high note, the dogs did excellent today.

Flanna x Poppy as mudamutes. Flanna is a little rough with poppy so play time is limited. I love it for them though 🥰

Poppy x Banks as mudamutes 🥰🤣

Every day with these 2. Besties for the resties. Banks has about 90lbs on her and forgets that 🤦🏼‍♀️🤣

Periodic exposure matters 🗣️🗣️🗣️ Look at Banks playing with the rubber curry comb without a care in the world. 🥰 I constantly see “oh my malamute won’t let me….” You can insert brush, wash, blow out, clip nails. It’s all about exposure! Brush your dog frequently from the time you bring them home (even if they’re a short coat). Clip their nails routinely from the time they come home, and if they don’t need cut, fine just mess with their feet regularly. If your pup is a wooly, get them on a schedule with a groomer. A dog should not dictate your lives in such ways but they will if you wait until they’re 100+lbs of noise and warning air chomps.

Got some big ol pipes today for enrichment and agility activities for the kids. CJ took right to it and is showing everyone the ropes. About half of the kids tried it out tonight. Modifying the exercise yard once this weather cooperates and this pipe as well as a 42” one will be put in place 🥰

This is why I urge puppy parents to keep up on grooming their pups. Look at Fairbanks being so good while I dry his paws with the blower. Just laying there wagging his tail. I try to give these pups the best start 🫶🏻 Fairbanks and Everest leave for Colorado and Utah (respectively) tonight, and with that all of Santa’s Reindeer will be off on their new adventures 💕🐾
