I was born November 19, 2002. Eight weeks later my mom adopted me. I was

a true golden child and loved as one. When I turned 1 year old, I had to be neutered due to an injury. That was just fine, as my mom just wanted me to be ok. I was also born with serious allergies, so my mom made sure I ate homemade meals. She really tried to take care of my allergies without the use of medications. In February of 2010, my mom took me to the Dr. for a check up. She just felt something was wrong, and sure enough, something was horribly wrong! We were told I had Lymphoma and had no real chance of survival. My mom was not only devastated but determined to fight with me. I was so strong in all other aspects . My mom took me to another Dr., one she trusted to do everything possible. This Dr. went above and beyond the call of duty. I started Chemotherapy in March 2010. Things were going really great for the first eighteen weeks. I went into remission. A short time later, I came out of remission...ugh what a heart break. The Dr. and my mom talked about our next option, so we started a new protocol. This did not end so well…. From Stetsons mom...
About a month and a half after starting that new protocol, we lost my boy. He ended up with pneumonia and spent more than two weeks in the hospital. We received the dreaded call from his wonderful Dr. that he was not doing well at all, and we needed to make the decision to end this fight. That was September 3, 2010. I miss him and think about him every single day.. I love you Stetson, my angel baby!! Our mission
After dealing with cancer and chemo first hand and knowing what the cost is we don't want any dog to be put down because the owners can't afford to pay. Our goal is to fundraise and take donations to help the dogs and their humans cover some of this cost. We are a 501 © 3 not for profit with a real goal in mind. We also have a dog rescue. We specialize in pregnant pups on death row because they are the ones most at risk in the shelters. We will take other dogs as well, they will be evaluated (kid and other animal tested) and vet checked before rehoming to a qualified home. All parties wanting to adopt will have to fill out a application and be approved before any dog will be re homed. Kellie Misner
