Running errands with our personal Goldens, Nala and Kiara , is never “just” an outing—it’s another chance to invest in their growth. At eight and six years old, these biological sisters show that with consistent practice, training truly becomes a lifestyle. Every day is a good day to train, and your dog can thrive the same way with the right guidance. 💛🐾

The leash is one of the most underrated tools in dog training. Before dogs can listen off leash, we have to teach you how to guide them on leash. That’s why we use our custom leather leashes from our friends at — durable, safe, and the best in the game.In today’s video, Winston’s moms are learning leash basics and hand cues before working their puppy. A strong leash foundation = a lifetime of clear communication.

I just want to take a moment to share my appreciation for the incredible kindness and compassion the team at PetSmart Veterinary Services - Bristow/South Manassas has shown me and my family.

We recently became clients, and I took our 8-year-old golden, Simba, in for an exam. When it comes to our own dogs, I tend to worry a little extra — but their staff truly put me at ease. They listened attentively, took the time to answer every question, and made sure I felt supported throughout the entire visit.

A few days ago, Simba returned for his dental, and the care they gave him was nothing short of amazing. They treated him as if he were their own, and that level of compassion means everything to me.

Having worked in the veterinary field myself and experienced many different clinics over the years, I’ve been searching for a team that offers both exceptional care and genuine warmth. I’m grateful to say I finally found that here at Petsmart Veterinary Services inside PetSmart.

Thank you to the entire team for your dedication and for making us feel truly seen and cared for. Highly recommend! 🐾💛

Training isn’t just a phase — it’s a lifestyle.

Pupdate from our boy Koda 🐾 (GSD mix) — he graduated last year from our Basic Obedience On/Off Leash program and then continued into our Retrieval Training Program to begin his journey as a Service Dog.

At the time, his mom was pregnant, and preparing Koda with a task to help once the baby arrived was an important part of setting their family up for success. Fast forward to today — Koda has become the most loving big brother (both to the baby and his furry brother Bert , who also graduated from our Obedience & Psychiatry Service Animal Program), showing exactly what consistent training and structure can do long-term.

This is what we mean when we say make training a lifestyle. The work doesn’t stop after graduation — it becomes part of your everyday routine, your family dynamic, and your dog’s purpose. 🖤
