G&S dog training completely saved me from having to rehome my 1 year old rescue pit catahoula mix ,Mater. While he’s the sweetest boy ever he struggled a lot with destructive chewing, competition when it comes to listening to commands, and taking things like toys and food from my one year old daughter. He started with Sarai and George knowing nothing but sit and would only do it when he felt like it. I can now trust him to heal off leash, come, sit, stay, and lay down and he doesn’t need to be bribed with treats. Him and my daughter are now best friends and he waits until I tell him it’s okay to take a treat from her. He goes to work with me every day and gets compliments from customers on how well behaved he is. I recommend G&S dog training to anyone that asks and if I ever get another pup I will definitely be going to them.

What’s a good training without distractions?☺️ Our 1 year old corso siblings, Russ & Lyla, did amazing at Tractor Supply. They used to bark excessively & pull when they saw other dogs & people. They also used to go after moving objects. So proud of them 👏🏻

Happy graduation to our pretty girl, Nala! She’s a 5 years old Blue Heeler who used to struggle with being reactive towards dogs, had car anxiety, and was overprotective of her home. Now she understands that not every dog is a threat & she can enjoy going places with her pawrents🙌🏻

Happy graduation to our handsome boy, Zero! He’s a 2.5 years old Pit/GSD. He used to pull on the leash & be overprotective of his female pawrent. Zero celebrated his graduation at a brewery performing off leash commands around many distractions. His foster family, who are also our clients, joined the celebration. Ro is a 3 and a half year old bulldog lab mix. Having rescued him 4 months ago I quickly realized he had bad separation anxiety, breaking out of 2 crates and even my apartment (he’s a smart dog). After working with Sarai and George I have a completely different dog, he will go into his crate to take naps and is not freaking out when I have to leave. He is amazing on walks and is the best boy when we go to restaurants. When looking for trainers to work with I felt at complete ease after meeting with Sarai and George, I could tell they truly cared about Ro and wanted what was best for him and myself. I cannot say enough good things about these two, thank you both so much for helping Ro live his best life!

G&S Dog Training has been an absolute life saver. Our dog Nala struggled adjusting to apartment life in the city. She is a blue heeler (cattle dog) and was used to big yards and few neighbors in the midwest. Shortly after moving to NoVa, she started to become very reactive on leash, which overtime progressed into aggression both on and off leash towards other dogs and humans. She was overly protective when others approached us including barking, growling, showing her teeth, and lunging towards others. After an incident with another dog, we knew something had to be done before she hurt herself, another dog, or person. We were referred to G&S through our friends who praised their work and told us they would be perfect for our situation. We were very apprehensive and doubtful any training would be successful. To our surprise, the training program surpassed our expectations, and Nala came out of it the most well behaved and happiest she’s ever been. We were worried her spunky personality would be gone after training, but that has been far from the truth. While we know her reactivity and anxiety may never go away fully, we can now go on walks and not have to stress and worry about running into another dog outside or in our building. We are truly grateful for G&S and cannot imagine where we would be without them.

G&S dog training has hands down changed my life. I have had my pup for about 2.5 years before I started training with them. He is a pit shepherd mix who was a rescue and came with a few behavioral issues. He pulled on the leash and was very hesitant around strangers. Additionally, he was very protective of me which sometimes turned into a problem if I ever had friends over in my apartment. In January I moved in with my partner in DC and was very nervous about how my dog would adjust to the big crowds and city life. Thus, I sent him to George and Sarai for board and train during the move with the hope it would make him more comfortable in a highly populated area. Our results at the culmination of the program were phenomenal. My dog now heels on command even in the busiest of neighborhoods and allows our friends and family into the apartment (we have had three previous professional trainers who could not accomplish this). He makes city living so much more fun and, most importantly, he can exist in this environment stress free. He is truly the happiest I have seen him in the years I have had him. Thank you G&S dog training for helping my best friend gain confidence, obedience, and still stay his goofy self. Cannot recommend these guys enough. You have to do your homework but the results are worth it!!

We both grew up with dogs. We knew at some point down the road we would want to get a dog when our kids were older. This past Christmas, we adopted Peaches, 100% Golden Retriever. We were all over the moon. Little did we know how difficult it would be to train a puppy ourselves! After just a few weeks of struggling with the potty training, we were lost. Our friends recommended G & S Dog Training when they heard our struggles. They had also had their pup trained by them and had nothing but wonderful things to say. Peaches has always been a good dog. Trying to get her to potty outside and not jump up on anyone was a different story. We also struggled with her barking in the cage at night and the basic commands, like come and stay. After training with George and Sarai, we are absolutely amazed with how well-behaved Peaches is. We get compliments everywhere we take her. Our 8 month old puppy is like a whole new dog, and we are so proud and thankful for G & S Dog Training! 10/10, highly recommend.
