Service dogs should also have time to decompress, recharge and be dogs. Vest should always mean is time to work . Vest off and release command should mean free time . For some Sd’s that will mean playtime with furry friends , as long as dogs are not a huge distraction for him while working . For some dogs will be a good fetch game . They certainly need a balanced life in order to do their jobs properly just like us 🦮🐕‍🦺🎖

Did you know rewards come in other shapes than food, toys and praise? Dogs whole purpose in life revolves around human interaction. Is important we find what makes our pup feel alive and use that to price him accordingly. Every dog is a different world and should be treated by its own, special individuality. A lot of dogs perform better when they are rewarded with freedom after a long stay or heel . Other ways to recompense your dog after a big achievement is to take him/her to the park or beach and play a fetch game, having a snuggle session in the couch or it can be as simple as a long belly rub. Attention is a reward, let’s use it wisely 🌷

Feeding the whole crew 🎈 So why Farmers Dog?

1. No more guessing games.
With farmers dog, you can actually see the ingredients in your dog's bowl. Protein sources in dry food that have not been approved for human consumption are much lower quality than fresh, unaltered, lean, human grade meats. With fresh food you can always see how much meat and fresh produce is used, whereas most commercial dog foods are extremely processed and can be loaded with hidden ingredients and additives that have been known to cause health issues.

2. Increased vitality
Human-grade food made with high quality ingredients help build strong immunity and increased vitality. Even senior dogs show an improved range of motion and increased playfulness after switching to a fresh, human-grade diet. The protein and natural antioxidants found in high-quality, fresh food also helps fight ailments and illness. Because commercial dry food is cooked at such high temperatures, the natural nutrients in any individual ingredients are destroyed and cannot provide these regenerative properties.

3. Healthier digestion
Your dog’s system wasn’t designed to consume the bulk of the ingredients found in dry food, and they end up turning into (smelly) heaps of waste. Switching to fresh, highly digestible, human-grade food results in fewer and smaller stools. Food is digested properly and nutrients are directly absorbed.

Our psychiatric service dogs are individually trained to do work or perform tasks that mitigate their handler's disability. Training to mitigate a psychiatric disability may include providing environmental assessments, signaling behaviors such as interrupting repetitive or injurious behaviors, reminding the owner to take medication, retrieving objects, guiding the owner from stressful situations, or acting as a brace if the owner becomes dizzy.

We brought some light to Ana Julia with Theo 😀. I needed to test her response to dogs and work on socialization. She loved it! I can’t wait to train her Service Dog 😍 We are starting with the training in two weeks 🤩 the dog's name is going to be Tita and she is from the same litter as Ali, my Golden Retriever 🐕⭐

A little background info…

Good Dogs has been around since 2012. The passion to care for and train dogs started in Ecuador, where the team developed a successful dog training program, with professional training from the finest and most highly rated training schools across the USA. Good Dogs has developed methods and training that succeed in all environments.

At any level of training, Good Dogs can help you develop a great relationship with your pet, and help you develop the behavior you and your dog deserve!

Daniela Carrera, service dog trainer and dog training specialist, and her crew are moving to Mooresville, NC to spread their passion and their commitment to dog owners. They are going to be offering customized dog training and service dog assistance to health care clinics. Also, they are going to provide all types of service dogs around the country.

Our story:

2012: Lord Guau, a company made for grooming, boarding and care opened its doors introducing “train you and your dog”. They opened their new training facility and helped clients with problematic dogs. Then, top pet friendly restaurants, malls and parks started letting train dogs all across Ecuador, South America.

2013:

After helping more than 200 families turn problematic and anxious dogs into obedient fun members for their families, Good Dogs Inc. was born! It started with the team offering private lessons, group classes, therapy dog group classes, and school and hospitals visits.

2014:

Dog events like camping with your dog, doggie beach events, dog diving, and bonding activities were taking place in Ecuador. Dog owners started to recognize the importance of spending time with their dogs and the importance of their role in the family

2015: More socialization and group classes opened and other trainers started to bring the success to more locations.

2018: Good Dogs moves to Charlotte, NC to expand their knowledge of dog training by working with Highland K-9 Dog training school. We began to train service dogs for seizure alert, mobility, stability, autism assistance, diabetes and allergy alert.

Here we were focusing on making service dogs work better by using techniques for socializing them with different people, animals, and environments. Matching service dogs with the patient’s personality and needs, we started to create service dogs that work for specific tasks and can behave anywhere and everywhere!
