Our Story
Our son was diagnosed with epilepsy at age 2. By the time he was 4 I was totally past my limit from all of the stress associated with his illness. We got Gypsy with hopes of training her to be a seizure alert dog. Gypsy was like a breath of fresh air. Just having her here made me hopeful that things could get better.
By the time Gypsy was a year old, we had failed several times to find Gypsy the training she needed and, blessedly, our sonβs seizures were finally under control with the right medication for him.
That is when we decided to start breeding service and therapy quality puppies. I have been amazed over and over at how amazing these dogs are. They are often so in tune to the emotions of their people and want to do whatever they can to help.
Sunflowers have always seemed like a hopeful flower to me. They follow the sun in hopes of a brighter day. Hope is what want to share with others through these amazing dogs.
