If you've been to our clinic you've more than likely had the privilege to meet Wellington.
He has been the unofficial mascot and a cherished member of our work family for nearly 14 years.
Wellington was adopted from a local cat rescue and thrived in his role of a clinic cat. He greeted clients, teased the occasional dog, and provided entertainment and comfort when needed to our staff. He has been a good example to a number of kittens he has had to tend and more than once served as a good gineia pig to show a client how to give insulin injections to their recently diagnosed diabetic pet.
This summer we discovered Wellington was in kidney failure, a very common problem for elderly cats. We have kept him comfortable and given him the best possible care, however, we couldn't avoid the inevitable. Today he has let us know that it's time to let him go. We will be giving him all the extra love and pets to him before we say goodbye to the best clinic cat in the world 💔
