GATHERING INTEREST!!

I’m so excited to announce that I’m going to be returning to teaching dog sport classes! Classes will be held at the new CleverDogs, LLC training facility in Dublin 🤩

Classes will most likely be held on Sunday mornings. I’ll be starting out with some one time workshop style offerings and will eventually transition into 3 week long mini classes.

If Sunday morning classes would possibly work for your schedule, what would you like to see?

Classes I’d love to bring back could include Performance Puppy, Performance Teenager, Rally Obedience, Beginner Novice/Novice Competition Obedience, and Competition Ring Prep.

I’m looking into holding a “Ring Prep at the Park” drop in class next week at a park in Gahanna! $25

Ring entrances. Distractions. Transitions. Judge pressure. Attention. Primarily focused on handlers training for competition obedience or rally, but handlers in all dog sports could benefit!

If this is something you’d like to attend, which of these dates/times would work for you???

It’s nightly New Year’s one string cheese training time!

Tonight Shouty and I worked all things front position! Clockwise independent bowl spins, pivoting in front position on the bowl in all directions, call to front on the bowl with an extra pull clockwise, and call to front from all angles on his platform!

Need a little help with your New Year’s training motivation? Cut up one string cheese! Train til it’s gone and that’s it!

Tonight Shouty and I worked independent bowl pivots, find heel on the bowl, pivoting together on the bowl, pivoting together with his nose on a hand target, and find heel into pivoting together with the nose target.

Yep! We covered all that in less than 5 minutes with our one string cheese! Let me know in the comments what you worked on!

⭐️ GATHERING INTEREST ⭐️

I’m gathering interest for an online AKC novice rally skills class that I’m looking to start mid/late May!

Class will be $150 for 6 weeks of material and consist of written lectures along with short video examples. Class will take place virtually in a Facebook group. Teams will be able to post unlimited video footage for review - I just ask that each video be less than 1 minute in length.

Lectures will break down each sign in the AKC novice level of rally with approximately 7 signs being covered each week. The skills in this class can be worked in a small space indoors or outdoors and no special equipment will be required.

Skills will be built via the use of food lures, fading lures, hand/body targets, and clean consistent handling and reward placement.

Hey all! Jenn here 🙂 I’m looking into starting up some new workshop style classes, but I want to make sure the interest is there for what I’m looking to offer!

Workshops would be one hour in length on Saturday evenings in the Worthington area.
