Hey guys! My name is Champ short for Champion and I’d love to introduce myself! While I’m a little nervous with new people and have a tendency to cling to the sides of staff during my meet and greets, I warm up pretty quick if you have a handful of tasty treats. I have done well with kids and cats but I’m not a fan of other dogs in my space and I may take a while to warm up the the men in the house.

I’m a goofy boy who loves to play and have fun. My favorite snack is peanut butter and OCHS staff thought it was hilarious that I covered myself in peanut butter. Instead of helping me clean the peanut butter off my ears and my back they laughed and took pictures.

I’m about 3 years old, up to date on vaccines, neutered, microchipped, dewormed, and I’m ready to go! I’m roughly 50 pounds so I’m the perfect size, not too big and not too small! If you’re interested in meeting me give the staff a call at 715-362-5992 and they’d love to tell you all about me!

🐾Last week we had Minocqua J1 Middle school in for their yearly donation of homemade pet treats and toys as well as a tour of OCHS! 🐾 Staff and the cats enjoyed the company of about 60 students while answering questions and watching them interact with adoptable pets. 🐾

We’d have an empty shelter if it were up to them 😉

✨❤️All off the OCHS pets got a special Christmas dinner tonight thanks to volunteer Stacy!❤️✨

🍠🍚🍗The kitties each enjoyed some small pieces of turkey with some gravy, while the dogs had rice, turkey, gravy and sweet potatoes!! 🍗🍚🍠

In total, they enjoyed 18lbs of turkey, an entire kettle of gravy, 5lbs of sweet potatoes and 8 cups of rice!

Everyone has a full belly and is tucked in for the night after enjoying their Christmas with staff ❤️❤️

Oh, hello there! 🐾
It's me, Spots, the cutest and most playful doggo at the shelter. ( don’t tell the others) 🤫

I wanted to bark out to you and let you know about some things that us furry friends here are in desperate need of.
Woof!

First things first, let's talk about food. We shelter dogs have a sensitive tummies, so I need dry dog food that's Purina One brand or better. And please, no red dyes!
We can't have the colorful stuff here, but that doesn't mean we can't have yummy and nutritious meals. Woof!

Now, let's not forget about our feline friends. They're not into all the colorful stuff either, so if you could help us out with some dry cat food without all the fun colors, that would be pawsome!

Sometimes, we need a little extra moisture in our meals, ( actually it’s for pure fun in our kong toys) a frozen treat that keeps our tails wagging. And guess what? Our purrfect pals, the cats, enjoy wet food too! It keeps their whiskers twitching with delight.

Oh, and we can't forget about our guinea pig buddies. They need their own special food and cozy bedding. If you could provide guinea pig food and bedding, it would make their little hearts squeak with joy.

And for our hoppy friends, the rabbits, and piggies, they love munching on fresh grass hay. It keeps their teeth healthy and makes them do the cutest little bunny hops. So if you could help us out with some grass hay, that would be absolutely pawsome!

Keeping our shelter clean is super important, so we need Odo ban to make everything smell fresh and clean. And of course, bleach is a must-have for keeping our living areas s***k and span.

Oh, and one more thing! We have a special wish for the holidays - a home! It would be the best gift ever if we could find a loving family to spend the holidays with. We dream of a warm and cozy home where we can cuddle up and be loved.
