Meet Polar Bear!

🥰 Polar Bear is a sweet senior mixed breed who recently joined us at the Oneida County Humane Society. 🥰

While he may be a bit shy with new people at first, he quickly warms up and has been wonderful with our staff.

Polar Bear has a gentle nature and has done well with other pets in his previous home. We believe he would do best in a home with older children or all adults with little foot traffic through the house.

If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion, Polar Bear might just be the perfect addition to your family!

Update: Rosco is now in foster to adopt home!

🥰Meet Rosco, a charming 7-year-old Rottweiler ready for his new home! 🥰
Rosco's previous family's tiny human has grown and started moving around. Well, that little human turned out to be quite scary—okay, a lot scary—and Rosco just doesn't trust him/her.

Rosco is a lovable companion who loves to lean on you for support, especially when you need cheering up. He's the perfect lap dog (sure, he’s a bit big and spills over the lap a bit, but there's no doubt he WILL keep you warm during winter). Rosco is also known as a top-notch couch potato and snuggle bug.

Rosco prefers to be the only pet in the household and isn't comfortable around young children. However, he would thrive in a home with older kids who respect his space or an all-adult environment.

💕 ** Foster Home Needed for Babs!** 💕

We have a need for a foster home for one of our court case dogs, Babs. Due to the nature of the case, we cannot post her photo, but Babs is not doing well in the shelter environment and needs a loving home.

Babs would do best in a home with all adults and as the only pet due to her being untrusting of new people.
Babs is a very sweet girl once she realizes she is in a calm and supportive environment.

If you can provide a safe haven for Babs, please contact us to learn more about how you can help.

⭐️Court case dogs are dogs seized by the authorities from an environment of allegid abuse or neglect. We cannot legally adopt these dogs out until the court case has ended or an owner chooses to surrender the pet.

Update: 12/27/24 - Friday- PLEASE SLOW DOWN COUNTY ROAD A PHELPS and report any sightings.

Po was spotted several times alongside County Road A near Eagle Farm Road, Phelps. AH went out and dropped a trap for the afternoon, but Po had other plans. We strongly believe he will stay in that area as long as he isn't chased.

Meet McKenna! 💕 🐾

McKenna is a sweet young girl who recently joined us at OCHS from another adoption facility in Wisconsin.

Her gentle brown eyes caught our attention immediately. Though she was a bit timid at first, she quickly warms up with some treat games and a little patience.

**Meet Albert!** 🐾

Albert, Alberto, Berto, Bert—whatever you call him, this squatty short-legged powerhouse is ready to give his new family all the love! 💖

Berto would do best in a home where he is the only pet and with no small children. He is passionate about his toys and serious about a good game of tug-of-war. Albert is great on a leash and will happily accompany you on a jaunt around the neighborhood.

❄️Achilles has been here since AUGUST and is looking for his forever! ❄️

This boy is so sweet but is not doing well on the shelter environment.
Achilles is very smart and food motivated, which is GREAT for training. We love Achilles - his silly personality will for sure make you smile!

Fischer and Liv's Birthday Celebration!** 🎉

Fischer and Liv celebrated their birthdays this fall with a party alongside their Island City Dance Topaz teammates. Instead of gifts, the girls asked for donations for OCHS.

They were grateful and excited about their teammates' generosity!
