Alexander Rachner Is a Cutting Horse Trainer Located near Decatur, TX. He specializes in 2 year olds

Alex grew up on the island of Kauai, where he developed a love for horses at a very young age on his family's ranch. Cutting was a family tradition and his father was quick to let him start showing and spend time with some top hands before finishing school. When Alex decided to become a horse trainer and turn in his non pro card, he took a job as an assistant to Ronnie Rice at Center Ranch. There

over the next few years, he cultivated his passion for cutting horses and learned from one of the best mentors a young trainer could ask for. His second time showing in the open he managed to make the 2013 Superstakes 4 year old open finals and lmtd open finals. It was not long after, that he was approached by the owner of War Ranch to run his training operation and promote his stallion War Bird Dog. He managed to make numerous lmtd finals and an open semi final at the 2015 Superstakes on his offspring, as well as the lmtd open finals at the 2015 Summer Spectacular. Alex also made the 4yr old open semi finals and lmtd open finals at the Super Stakes in 2017. In 2018 Alex bought his own facility and starts and trains 2yr olds for the public. Alex is now located in between Rhome and Decatur Tx off of 287 in his own facility. His place includes stalls, pasture turn outs with covers, a covered arena, an outdoor arena, flag, cattle and a panel walker. Alex specializes in 2yr olds, starting and training their whole 2yr old year. Cutting Horse Trainers that Alex trains for to name just a few Ronnie Rice, James Payne, Lee François, Josh Townson. If you don't have a cutting horse but want your 2yr old started right with a great foundation, Alex also takes in roping, barrel or any other type of 2yr you want started. Alex takes a lot of pride in his work and the 2yr old year is a very important year for a horse, it sets them up for their whole life. Congratulations to Ethan Eisenbarth and Tru Blu “Gravy” for making the 5/6 Limited Open Finals AND Congratulations to Morgan Cromer and CW Blu Rey “Blu” for making the 5/6 Open Finals at the 2023 Super Stakes in Ft. Worth!! Gravy and Blu were both Graduates from our 2yr old program in 2019!! This year in 2023 we have a full brother to Gravy and a full brother to Blu in training 🥳🥳

Due to personal circumstances Alex will not be taking in 2yr olds for 2022. That being said the ACR Facility will be open to boarders. We will be a full service boarding facility. The facility is in a perfect location for all your equine needs. We are located 10 mins from the NRS in Decatur Tx, 12 mins from Outlaw Equine, 35 mins from Ft.Worth Tx, 40 mins from Weatherford Tx and 40 mins from Gainesville Tx. Your Horses will be fed and watered 2 times a day with high quality feed and the best care. If you have supplements you want your horse to be on you are responsible to provide those and we will feed them accordingly. Trailer parking is also available. Your horses stall will be cleaned 7 days a week. All horses that are stalled will be put on our Priefert Panel walker 7 days a week or get turn out time in our arenas as we believe horses do not need to sit in their stalls. You will have full use of our facility during designated times. We have a covered arena with a flag, an outdoor arena with lights, 15 acres of pasture to ride in, use of barrels, poles, calf sled and smarty steer sled.
Other options we will provide at a lower cost for non riding horses. We have 7 pastures with shelters for boarding yearlings and broodmares. We will be taking in some broodmares to foal out in 2022 and halter break babies once born. We have a great horse shoer that comes a few times a month and all horses will be on a deworming program. These services will be extra not included in board. We also have a great horse dentist that comes twice a year and will be available to boarders at their expense. My Wife Cindall Rachner is an Animal Science Graduate from KSU and she will be running the boarding facility. She has 11 years experience running top notch cutting programs and it will continue to be ran as such. We are so excited to watch “Chief” at the futurity this year. We purchased Chief as a yearling to train and sell. Congratulations to Erin Russell on the purchase of Chief last month. Alex has been the only one on his back until a month ago and we couldn’t have picked a better place for him in Ronnie Rice’s barn and with Erin! Here’s to 2021 futurity season 🍾💜

ACR Performance Horses specializes in 2yr old Cutting Horses. We train 2yr olds for some of the top trainers in the NCHA like James Payne, Ronnie Rice and Lee Francois to name a few. We also will take in 2yr olds for other disciplines also because we believe every 2yr old needs a great start and foundation. Each 2yr old is trained as an individual on their needs in our program. If your looking for a trainer to send your 2yr old cutter to then go on to your trainer to complete their training as a 3yr old and on. Or maybe you’re looking to start your barrel or rope horse 2yr old prospect then look no further. We are now filling spots for the 2022 2yr old crop.
