Little Red Barn Dog Rescue We are a small rescue located in the heart of the Northwoods of Wisconsin! We are a federally recognized 501c3 EIN 84-4695525.

We strive to improve the lives of dogs in need until we locate their forever families. We assist with local surrenders, unclaimed strays, as well as transfer dogs out of shelters. We are county and state inspected through Barron County and the WDATCP; Dog Facility Operator Licsense #490092. As a nonprofit we operate primarily off of donations collected from supporters to provide our residents with

the very best in medical, enrichment, and care. Donations are used towards transportation fees, medical fees, and daily care needs. We serve our community by caring for local surrender dogs, as well as unclaimed stray dogs in need of a place to lay their head until their furever families comes! We assist many Southern rescues, shelters and animal controls by transferring their over-crowed dogs to our care. We began operations late January of 2020, and we are hoping to build our rescue to last! We are constantly evolving to provide our residents with every thing they may need to strive, learn, be happy and healthy.

Here to the Rescue is an amazing rescue asset here in Barron County! Wendy has the biggest heart, and gives her absolute all to the cats and critters that find their way into her care.

🎉LRBDR 5 Year Anniversary is this Friday🎉 When LRBDR began 5 years ago, we had high hopes of assisting atleast 50 dogs our first year... well a few months after starting, we hit that 50 dog mark and realized we were going to surpass that first goal. Fast forward 5 years and now it is 2025. On Friday we will have helped over 50 dogs so far in the first couple weeks of the New Year. This absolutely could not be accomplished without our amazing community (both local and online,) our volunteers, fosters, adopters, supporters and donors. We celebrate this accomplishment with ALL OF YOU who make it possible! Who would have thought small aspirations could grow into big change! Always keep foraging forward, and always do the best you can! 🥰❤️🐕

These boys and girls wasted no time making themselves at home! They are all happy as can be, and more information will be made available after their vetting is complete on the 31st. In the meanwhile, we hope you enjoy their happy tails and chonky faces as much as we do. 🥰❤️🐕

We see things every day that break our hearts. Every day we receive multiple requests for help. We don't sleep well. We live off junk food and caffeine. There is no real down time. Every day we do our best to help not just the animals in need, but the community as well. That leaves very little for ourselves. Be kind to your rescuers, we are all doing our best. Tomorrow a new life starts for these boys and girls. With that comes hours of medical, driving, socialization, vetting... but we think they are worth every ounce of effort. What we do, could not be done without you. Every one of you. 🥰🐕❤️
