Position: Service Tech
We are looking for one (part-time) person to fill routes for 2-4 days per week.
Job Type: Part-Time
Job Pay: $15/Hr
Job hours: 2-6 hours per day - depending on how many houses that day
Dapper Dog is hiring a Service Tech. As a service tech, you will be driving your own vehicle around Summit county or neighboring communities, cleaning up dog waste. This job is best fit for people that live locally, do not mind working alone, love dogs and are comfortable working in the heat & sun or the cold & snow. Successful candidates will be trained on how to complete a pet waste removal service properly. This position requires highly adaptable people who take pride in doing an excellent job. Candidates are required to be able to develop & apply a successful cleaning routine, demonstrate problem solving skills, read and write in English, and work in a solo environment with little supervision.

As a Dapper Dog Service Tech, your responsibilities will include:
• Managing your own time and schedule
• Notifying customers of when you will be arriving
• Performing customers pet waste removal to Dapper Dog standard
• Walking up to 4-5 miles per day
• Lifting and carrying 30-40 lb. buckets of waste
• Follow up with customers who have complaints/comments about their service
• Perform all duties with minimum supervision
• Attending safety meetings
• Other tasks as directed by leadership
The Dapper Dog Service Tech position is well-suited for people with:
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to build and foster positive relationships with customers
• Ability to work through most weather conditions; including, but not limited to light rain or snow, high heat and humidity, or extreme cold
• Ability to communicate effectively
• Ability to learn and apply Dapper Dog Safety and Quality standards
Qualified candidates will have:
• Valid driver's license and insurance
• High School diploma or High School student!
• Ability to work a physically taxing job until it is completed
• Ability to work extra routes when needed
• High degree of self-motivation
• Good verbal communication skills
• Basic phone skills and etiquette
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Good decision-making skills
• Flexibility and ability to deal well with ambiguity as job focus and assignments may change daily and by the hour
• Regular and prompt attendance
• Full range of physical motion to pick up dog waste
• Ability to move throughout the customers yard, including climbing stairs, and walking up and down potentially slippery hills
• Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and climb stairs in hot and/or wet environments (all the while wearing appropriate safety gear.)
• This person must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
