New stop signs have been installed at the intersection of 300 South and 100 East. This will make the intersection a four-way stop starting at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 4.
There has been an increase in traffic on 300 South since a traffic light was installed on Main Street. The four-way stop will also help slow traffic on 100 East, where speeds of up to 70 mph have been recorded, said Police Chief Trent Lloyd.

Just an alert that a scam is going around from people claiming there is a Federal Warrant for missing Jury Duty. They are using a phone number almost identical to the Richfield City Police office number (438) 896-8484. This is a scam. NEVER pay anyone money over the phone making these types of claims. If you have a question, hang up and call the city police at (435) 896-8484.
Also, please remember that if you don't recognize a phone number, don't answer. Let them leave a message.

A scammer is using the Richfield City office number (435) 896-6439 to impersonate a police officer. The police do not use that number.
This is a reminder to never give out financial information, including credit/debit card numbers, to anyone without first verifying who they are. If you have any questions or doubts that a call is coming from Richfield City, hang up and call the above number and our office staff will be able to help you.

We are excited to announce that the pickleball courts are now open for play! Please follow the rules to keep these courts in the best condition possible. The bathrooms are not open yet, so there will be porta potties located at the park until they are ready. There will be ongoing maintenance around the bathrooms, pavilion and playground. The playground, pickleball courts and grass are open for use! A grand opening will be held at a later date once the park is finalized!

Richfield City is asking parade goers to be safe this year by following one simple rule – stay behind the white dotted line.
“We just want everyone to be safe,” said Justin Jepson, Richfield Independence Day committee chairman. He said while parades move slow, there are still tragedies that have occurred that have marred the celebrations of other communities in Utah.
The rule is especially important for children, who are sometimes temped to chase after treats that may have fallen into the middle of the street. By keeping everyone out of the parade’s path, it helps ensure a safe event.
“Just let the parade participants get to treats to you,” Jepson said.
The parade will also have marshals riding four-wheelers up and down the parade route reminding people where they can and can’t be.
“Please listen to them because they only have your safety in mind,” Jepson said.

The scammers are at it today! The police department has had several calls about missing jury duty, judgements against people, etc. One of the numbers being use is Richfield City's. Scam artists often spoof phone numbers to make their calls legitimate.
Do not give these people money and NEVER give out any personal information. Richfield City does not call and ask for money over the phone.

ALL Memorial Day decorations and flowers must be removed from the Richfield City Cemetery before 9 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2024.
At that time, the cemetery maintenance department will begin its regular maintenance program. If you would like to salvage your OWN flowers and decorations, please remove them before said date and time. In consideration of past problems, please remove only those decorations from grave sites that are your own.

On Thursday, May 3, there will be a concrete crew working at the new Nielsen Warm Springs Park.

Due to the large amount of cement that has to be poured in a short amount of time, the work will start at approximately 5 a.m.

We appreciate you patience as the park nears completion.
