Our animal loving girl is now a big 5 year old! Right now we are prepping and studying for her future chicken shows…I have a feeling in the years to come the shows will become more than just chicken shows…….horse shows, dog shows….

Sugar Mtn Silkie pricing policy:

Price sheet
Chicks start at $25 and go up depending on quality, color and feather type. Frizzles and satins will be at a higher cost

Chicks over 10 weeks start at $50 and go up depending on quality/color/ feather type

Adult hens start at $100

Adult roosters start at $60

Our policy:

-chicks will be sold as straight run *unless I get around to start dna testing*

-there’s a minimum purchase of 2 chicks around the same age group, meaning I will not sell a 3 week old chick and a 10 week old chick together for fear the older one will pick at the smaller one. They will need to be paired.

-I do not sell any chicks under 2 weeks to make sure they are all healthy and thriving

-Any chicks with obvious faults will be sold as pet quality and will be priced separately.

-once a chick leaves my home I am no longer responsible nor offer refunds unless under special circumstances but I will offer guidance and happy to answer any questions at anytime. I take videos / pictures right before they leave my home to verify they are healthy, happy and eating

-purchasing a bird from us means you are accepting our policy. Period.

-please do not haggle our pricing. It’s truly disrespectful. If your wanting a breeder to show quality silkie but for the price of tractor supply chick bin then please do me a favor and just block us.

-I do not tolerate scammers. We’re on the “waitlist” to be meta verified so hoping that’ll help although I think Facebook can do better and shouldn’t have to be on a waitlist to keep our accounts protected.

-this is a hobby and any 💰we make goes right back to help support my daughter in her journey of showing silkies and I as well when I’m able to. A lot goes to feed, h**p bedding (from dominion H**p which I highly recommend to anyone that has allergies) on hand medicines, show supplies, gas etc.

-We do not have hundreds of silkies but rather under 35 to help improve and preserve the quality of the silkies. First and foremost we breed for health! We absolutely will not breed any silkie that is continuously weak and thankfully we’ve yet to acquire one yet because we pick our first birds from high quality/reputable breeders. Having a smaller number of birds allows us to help better control breeding situations, control any sickness that might spread through and we have the time to spend with each and every silkie on our property. Each are literally held on a daily basis by each person in my family. We LOVE them and care about where each of our silkies future home might end up.

Our girl has named him Sugar Pie 🥰

Shipped this boy to North Carolina and he made it in time to be this lil cutie’s birthday present. I was told she’s already set him on a bench and talked to him explaining that this is where he will live now, and it is where she grew up. 🥰

Hi everyone and welcome to our new page. We’ve finally decided to jump on board with social media to showcase our beautiful silkies that was a hobby turned to passion. We breed to standard of perfection (SOP) to exhibit in poultry shows. We are members of ABA, APA, ASBC and soon to be 4H for our daughter to show her silkies as well. She also has her own page (Kate’s Silkies ) which I run to show off her progress and help inform/ offer guidance to any other young children just starting out. On this page I will post available chicks / birds we have to offer up that will not suit our breeding program but might be perfect for someone else 😍 this also helps fund our hobby and feed bill.
