Last Runner Up!

Meet Jesus Meraz, who enlisted in the US Marine Corps in July 2021 as a Ground Electronics Transmission Systems Maintainer. Currently, he is still on active duty, having achieved the rank of Corporal as a Marksmanship Instructor. In July 2024, Jesus attended the Bravo Team K9 Handler and Trainer Course alongside his K9 partner, Clide, from Bravo Team K9. Upon completing the course and earning an American Working Dog Association Certification in narcotics detection, Jesus was offered a position with Bravo Team K9. Throughout his time with Bravo Team K9, Jesus has worked with multiple dogs and has had the opportunity to learn from experienced trainers in NJ and NC. His goal is to become a more well-rounded dog trainer and gain expertise in canine psychology.

Next Runner Up:
Corey Benton, a highly dedicated and passionate individual, holds the position of Instructor and Pet Dog Program Manager. Corey's love for dog training was ignited during the training process of his personal dog. Corey enlisted in the US Marine Corps in March 2017, serving as an Infantryman. In May 2024, Corey successfully competed for a position as a Working Dog Trainer with Bravo Team K9. Since joining the team, Corey has trained an impressive 50-plus dogs under the Working Dog and Pet Dog Program. As Pet Dog Program Manager, Corey oversees the training of all dogs within the program, ensuring adherence to Bravo Team K9 standards and client requirements, while managing a team of three Pet Dog Trainers. Corey's area of expertise is behavior modification training, and he has instructed the Bravo Team K9 Handler Class 24-02. Corey remains focused on advancing his career and expanding his knowledge.

Third Runner Up!!

Meet Falon Williams, a dedicated Pet Dog Trainer and US Marine Corps veteran. Born in Okinawa, Japan and raised in Maryland, Falon developed a passion for animals and fitness. After serving five years in the Marines and completing multiple courses, she pursued her interest in dog training. Currently studying fitness science at Coastal Carolina Community College, Falon became a Pet Dog Trainer for Bravo Team K9 in April 2024 and has since trained over 18 dogs in various obedience skills and behavior modification. In September 2024, she graduated from Bravo Team K9 Handler School 24-01, earning an AWDA certification in explosives detection alongside her K9 partner Django. Falon's dedication to her work ensures a better environment for both dogs and their owners.

2nd Runner Up:
Ethan Rodriguez embarked on his journey with Bravo Team K9 in November 2023, under the guidance of Owner/Head Trainer Jeff Profitt. He honed his skills in decoying, detection, handling, obedience, and selection of police canines. Ethan attended seminars and trained with some of the best decoys worldwide to enhance his decoying abilities. He has assisted in the training of various canines for street readiness practical training. Currently, Ethan is an active-duty US Marine and one of six Marines on Bravo Team K9. He is a 0311 Infantryman and has also attended Marine Security Guard School. Ethan helped prepare dogs for Bravo Team K9 Handler Schools 23-02 and 24-01, contributing to successful deployments through his passion and dedication. He aspires to continue training police dogs for Bravo Team K9 and transition into law enforcement upon completing his term in the USMC.

First Runner Up!!

Kayleigh Colgan, a Working Dog Trainer, started her training in 2022 attending a training school in Ohio. After joining Bravo Team K9 in November 2023, she has successfully trained over 65 canines for various law enforcement agencies and a family protection dog in California. Kayleigh has also attended a working dog training seminar in NJ learning from some of best trainers in the country. Kayleigh has traveled all over the east coast and mid west for numerous different agencies for selection of police dogs. Her dedication and expertise have resulted in impressive performances by the dogs she has trained and prepped leading to drug finds, family protection services, and the canines locating missing/suspect individuals.
