Don't worry about needing a ton of equipment to help get your dog in shape! You can start working on it just by making sure their sit isn't lazy!

Have them sit with their feet completely tucked under their body, if you are struggling with this find some wood that is just wide enough for them to stand on and then have them sit. This allows them to start building the muscles required to sit properly!

This can be done by re-arranging your furniture, building a blanket fort, unpacking the tent in the garage, planting a dog safe garden, setting up bird/squirrel feeders in front of a window, where no one can get hurt, while the dogs watch!

Has your pet put on a couple holiday pounds? Are you looking for ways to exercise them without going out in the rain? We recommend cavaletti. Cavaletti are a great way to exercise your dog and help you keep all their joints limber. The key to Cavaletti is to keep them low, they should not come above your dog's hock when you first start and second is spacing. You will want them set stride width apart so that each foot can step down in between them at the beginning. Still struggling to find fun tasty treats for your furry friends? Well check your refrigerator! Many fruits and vegetables are safe and low calorie option for your friends. The key is making sure you are only giving them safe ones. When trying to figure out if they are safe or not make sure you get your answers from good sources, (ASPCA, AKC, AVMA to name a few) I have seen many falsely safe labeled foods in memes and cute cartoons floating around FB and Instagram so always double check before you dive in. When in doubt leave it out and check with your vet!

Here we go again!

So I know many family's that prep dinners in the fridge/freezer that they can just grab and dump when things get crazy. Did you know you can do that for your dog too? Freezing puzzle toys is a great way to give your dog mental stimulation at meal times without a ton of extra work for you! You can use some of the recipes we are giving out on and mix in their kibble or just give them a bonus popsicle on top of the kibble!
