Graduation Day today for several of our retrievers. Bailey finished up our basic gundog program. This little girl came a long way from the shy, hesitant young pup that joined us. Leia, Johnny, Riggins and Bodie completed our advanced gundog program and I couldn't be more proud of each of them for what they learned and the work they put in day in and day out. Happy hunting to these pups and their owners, shoot straight and shoot often!

Good time in Advance NC with the Carolinas Retriever Assoc. Was proud of these pups for gettin' it done on some challenging tests. Pivot earned her first senior pass, Rip earned his 2d senior pass, Waffles earned her first two senior passes and lil Bodie earned his final two senior passes and his Senior Hunter title. Thank you to the judges, workers and club for all their hard work. And a special thanks to the Bell Family for allowing me to stay at "Hotel Bell" for the weekend!

Long weekend in Kinston with the Neuse Retriever Club, but as always the club put on a first class event, from the food Friday night through each test across the stakes. Diggs picked up another Master pass on a very challenging, big test. Rip and Bodie made their debut at Seniors, each earning a qualifying score. Big Red picked up his final two senior passes, going 4 for 4 earning his Senior title. And little Pivot earned her final Junior qualifying score and her JH title. Always work to do but proud of all the pups. Thank you to the club, workers and the judges for all their hard work throughout the weekend.

Took a lot of patience and persistence, but little Bailey finally took the plunge today and started swimming!

Uh oh, we might have a retriever in the works. Little Ms Mollie gettin' it done on the water today.

Happy Friday! A little shackled bird work for the young retrievers to simulate chasing down a cripple. An invaluable skill to have. If anyone has ever hunted with Tee Tallman, Josh Brindel, or Denny Lanier you know one of two things are gonna happen, there's gonna be a lot of shooting followed up with the command "no bird", or your pup is gonna be chasing down a cripple across the impoundment. "Preserving game one trained retriever at a time"!
