FERAL FRIDAYS!!!
As part of Ideal Pet Care's commitment to partnering with our community in supporting our four-pawed family, we will be offering a program for discounted spay/neuter services for community cats. This program aims to support community efforts for trap, neuter, release (TNR) and reduce feral cat numbers.
We will be offering discounted surgical rates for ferals on Fridays beginning in March - no appointment needed, check in at 9am.
Spay $75
Neuter $50
Includes surgical sterilization and Rabies vaccination
ALL CATS WILL BE EAR TIPPED (no exceptions) and tattooed
Cats MUST ARRIVE IN A TRAP as these ferals will be sedated in the trap to ensure staff safety. Cats brought in a carrier will be asked to come back in a trap on another day.
If you work with a rescue organization or are with a group of volunteers who plans to bring a large number of ferals, we ask that you please call ahead so we can advise the best date we can do the most kitties at one time.

Paws 4 Purpose has created a new interactive map for all our local microchip scanning stations! The time and dedication this initiative takes for a program is immense. We are happy to have two stations also listed on their map and encourage those who haven't checked out any stations to do so and familiarize yourself with them in case you ever need to use one.

Here is a quick map guide for the local scanning stations, so far, for Onslow County. Paws 4 Purpose put forth an initiative recently installing these stations and providing instructions on how to install your own as well. Thanks to their efforts in this project there have already been pets returned safely to their owner while also reducing the amount of calls to our animal control officers. P4P has plans for more installations once our ground warms up!

Carolina PAWS Program has joined the mission with two installation sites, one at Richlands Volunteer Fire Department and another at the OLD Rhodestown Volunteer Fire Department. Our signs are equipped with solar lights to assist during the night or early morning hours. Please do NOT scan an animal you do not feel comfortable handling or have control of.

Incredible form of assistance thanks to our neighbors at Lenoir County SPCA 🐾💕

If you’re on any kind of governmental assistance, your animal can be spay/neuter for only $30 cash. Requirement is you have to live in Lenoir County and show proof of residency to be eligible. Call us for details at 252-520-0003 during our business hours.

🔔 They DO give vouchers for both cats AND dogs!!

Also note dog prices vary by clinic, so please check their websites for those prices.

Remember if you feed them, fix them!
Fixing them makes you part of the solution!

Vouchers start at $3 for cats. That's a one time cost that is a fraction of the cost of food.

WE DID IT! Wade went to his forever home today!

Wade was passed through a couple of shelters and was a long resident at both before Arise Animal Rescue pulled him allowing us to foster while his forever family found him. After 27 days of posting and YOUR shares his new mom was able to find him! She had been looking to adopt for 6 MONTHS but mentioned she needed a dog that had been tested with cats, and was cat friendly.

Thank you to Arise for allowing us the opportunity to find this smiley guy a home. Thank YOU our community for all the shares, likes, and comments that consitently promoted Wade in the social media algorithm allowing him to find his forever home. That's one less dog in the shelter. 💕

Kitten update! They are all doing well, weaned, and litter trained. More playful than ever as too!

Two kittens are still available for adoption, as is their mama. February 3rd they will all be seen for their initial vaccinations, spays/neuters, and microchips. If you're interested in either of the available kittens or mama, please send a message here or via email at [email protected]

With the kittens being super playful photos can be difficult! We are happy to send what photos we can catch, along with videos, to potential adopters.
