8/23/24 LOOSE DOG in West Bolton

This pup is wandering alone in West Bolton on Stage Rd near where it intersects with Stone Hill Rd, saw it about 2:30PM. Dog looks older, male and has no collar. Small terrier like dog, white with a black spot on his back.

ANIMAL CONTROL POSSIBLE RABIES - UPDATED SHOTS A GOOD IDEA

BOL - Underhill - Beartown Road - injured groundhog, uncharacteristic behavior, possibly rabid? Seen at 31 Beartown Rd. - if you walk or allow your dogs outside unattended. Be aware - it attacked a delivery drivers tires and was unafraid of cars. Last seen burroughed in a stump dump in wooded area near road. Be careful

Engagement!

If your dog isn’t engaged when you’re training, then chances are, you’re not training as effectively as you could.

Bowie is working on this with his eye contact! Asking for eye contact can be one opportunity to reward your dog for engaging with YOU. We’re teaching Bowie that when he’s focused on his handler, he’s safe and his handler is in control, so he can enjoy walks on leash.

This not only strengthens the dog-owner relationship, but also helps improve Bowie’s confidence on leash, so he doesn’t feel the need to react to his environment!

💚Good news folks! Just got a call from Lisa. Dog has been found, a nice gentlemen found her relatively close to the location she was last seen soaking wet and took her in. I’m sure she had a nice adventure. Thank you all for the support and tips.💚
