The "Sassy Seven" have been doing well in foster care, and they are getting their spays and dentals this week. They are all between 3 and 6 years old and are so excited to be with us!! Potty training still needs work, but they are getting the hang of it. They love to be pet and wag their tails and are getting used to being dogs. Here's a picture of Zoe aka Xella. She loves the patio!

Hi, my name is Louie, and I’m a 3-year-old mis-marked tricolor Cavalier King Charles Spaniel mix looking for my forever home! 💙

I weigh 25 lbs, am neutered, and up to date on my shots. I’m learning to walk on a leash, but what I really love is running around my fenced backyard, playing with my Bacon Balls, and chewing on my Kong toys and elk antlers.

I don’t use a crate—I have free roam of the house and use the doggy door and stairs to go in and out as I please, just like my foster siblings. My foster parents say I’m easy to train, and I fit in just as well in a pack as I would as a single dog.

I’m very affectionate (I love cuddling with my foster mom!) and have no special needs or behavior issues. I just need a loving home where I can be part of the family!

🐾 **Meet Bentley!** 🐾

Bentley is a 2-year-old Cavalier with energy to spare! This handsome boy entered rescue following a divorce and is now looking for his perfect forever home. He loves the outdoors—chasing squirrels, watching birds, and playing in the snow bring him so much joy. His daily long walks with his foster dad and foster siblings are a highlight of his day!

Bentley enjoys couch snuggles just as much as outdoor adventures. He gets along well with his foster siblings but has shown some resource guarding and food aggression, so he would do best as the only dog in the home. He can be a little nervous around new people, but once he warms up, he wants your constant attention and affection.

This smart pup is fully potty trained and has had no accidents in foster care. He does well being left alone for a few hours and finds comfort in his covered crate, though he loves sleeping in bed with his foster family, snoozing peacefully for 8-9 hours. Bentley does have some mild separation anxiety, so he needs a home where someone is around most of the day.

Busy day for Cavalier Rescue Coalition, getting ready for spays and neuters so we have a full house this week!

Big shoutout to Petnificent on Gaskins Road in Henrico for making Betty and Lola beautiful!! They graciously donated their time to rescue to deal with very matted dogs. We needed the professionals at Petnificent to, literally, come to the rescue!!
Check out the before and afters!! Both girls will be up for adoption after they have been evaluated in foster care. They are former commercial breeders and are very wary of people right now.
