We had a blast at the Pheasant Festival today. We checked out some potential hunting sites and saw some awesome bird dogs. It was great to run into one of our past puppy buyers and hear about their exciting experiences. Unfortunately, we barely missed reconnecting with some of our pups. On the bright side, we snagged some fantastic swag. Were you at the festival as well?

We are headed to KC for the Pheasant Fest and Quail Classic. Should be a full day of fun.

Update on Kai. This boys a machine!!

Yesterday we finally had a shift in weather in KS and it cool/cold and windy, which meant the birds may not get up wild as soon as you step out of the truck. Took my 10 month old GSP Good Boy and a couple buddies out for some upland fun. He was hunting in front of my buddy at the time, over a pond dam from my line of site, so I didn’t get to see any of it live. Buddy yelled, “got a point up here!”. Buddy walked up kicked the grass, I hear a rooster cackle and a single shot. Then I hear “fetch it up!” So I start working my way up the bank. By the time I got up where I could see events unfolding, Kai (said GSP) was only a few feet from the shore with a rooster in mouth. By the time I got the video rolling he was proudly trotting with it in his mouth to bring it to me!! It was a great day!!
