A fun canine fact. Did you know, the studded, sometimes spiked, collars dogs wear isn't just for looks? It is to protect their neck from predators such as wolves, coyotes, etc when in a fight. The Anatolian Shepherd, also known as the Kangal, has the strongest bite force of all domesticated dogs at 743 pounds per square inch. With great power comes great responsibility as these dogs are excellent protectors of livestock.

Why do groomers want owners to leave while they groom their dog and say "we'll let you know when they're ready for pickup"? It's not that we have anything to hide, no groomer trade secrets we have 🤣 It's because when owners are present or stop in before a pet is done, it distracts the pet, gets them excited, and wiggly. The pet loses all focus of the groom and groomer and it becomes difficult to finish the groom, making it more dangerous (especially when trimming around face) and also prolongs it. Thank you all for understanding and your continued support!

Happy Mother's Day to all the beautiful mothers out there! Special shout-out to my mama who cuts up all my doggie bandanas and helps me out from time to time with cleaning around my shop. She is my best cheerleader!

Ticks are out and about folks! I have pulled a few off of some of the doggos I have had in my shop. With the warmer days we had awhile ago, it livened up those little buggers. Be sure to check your pups for ticks often and get a flea and tick preventative as soon as you're able!
