Sunday will be our last day in operation at 5 W Broad. I appreciate everyone that has visited and supported the store. I’ve met some incredible people, especially other small business owners, and I’ve loved getting to know the animals in your lives.
I’m sure those of you living with neurodiverse brains can attest to the guilt that comes with setting, but not meeting expectations. I’d be lying if I said this degree of “failure” hasn’t left me pretty paralyzed in recent days. Most of you know Dog House Cat has been a one woman operation. I’m tired, and anxious, and grieving, and I really don’t have the reserves to keep pushing through. But because I’m stubborn and I’m a dreamer this isn’t goodbye for ever. I have plans for the next phase of Dog House Cat that will hopefully mean seeing some of y’all real soon and allow me to flex my creative muscles a little more.
Small business ownership has never been easy, but things especially suck right now for a lot of people that have risked everything to share their ideas and dreams with their communities.
I’ll be at the store today through Sunday, the remaining inventory will be on sale starting at 40% off. There will also be some fixtures and decor available.
See ya later 💕🐾
