Hi everyone. I am still looking for the right person to join our team and help with some chores to ride or drive. I have several very good long term people who help with chores and either board a horse here or take lessons. But lives change and some have to move on, so now I need someone for Friday morning and or Saturday evenings. Morning shift starts at 7 or 6:30 (if you like early). Evening shift starts at 6. All the other shifts are taken, but sometimes need a sub.
Good exercise, fresh clean air, spend time with friendly horses! Not as cold now!
I’m looking for an adult or teen, prefer with some horse experience who would like to either take some (discounted) riding lessons or miniature horse driving lessons and do the chores to help pay for it. I am semi retired, but teach a few students who help me. I have a couple of home schooled pre-teens who each do 2 mornings during the week with a parent or grandparent. Great way to teach work ethic and spend time together! A couple others do 1 or 2 days of eve chores with their moms. Most have been here for a year or more and enjoy riding year round, but especially in the summer on trail or at fun shows.
We currently have 2 horses, 3 minis and 4 ponies (2 are for sale), so chores take about 1.5 hours. Horses are usually out all the time, so seldom stall cleaning. Just picking paddocks and feeding. We are on Clark Rd (Double L) and have an indoor and outdoor riding arena. I only teach those who do chores or their children. We go to some fun shows or trail rides during the season and there are opportunities to learn drill riding. Prefer that you live in the area.

We have 4 horses, 3 minis and 4 ponies, so chores take about 2 hours, depending on weather. I need someone for Sunday mornings (7am to 9am). Horses are out all the time, so no stall cleaning. BUCKWHEAT, good looking bay pony

9 yrs old 13.2h gelding
This guy is stocky and great size for adults or kids.
Not for beginners, as he moves strong and forward, though relaxed, but good for intermediate rider and above. Great step up pony!
Very sweet, loves attention, easy to catch. He’s good on trails, obstacles, arena work. He’s been to a fun show, cattle sorting and has practiced with a drill team.
Rides with snaffle bit or western or hackamore
Neck reins or direct reins.
Has had a rope thrown off of him in the past.
Used in lessons with intermediate riders.
Utd on vax, coggins and teeth just done
Feet good, utd on trimming, barefoot
Has Microchip
Squares up for halter, stands and trots off.
Goes thru water, over bridges, leads or follows
We don't go on trail alone, but he works alone in the indoor or outdoor arena
Clips, bathes, ties
No kick, bite, rear, buck, bolt or crib
Trailers great
Kept outside but has been in a stall
No health problems or special needs.

Great group to drill with!

Stateline Hotshots will be hosting a drill team demo day Tuesday, August 2nd from 5-6:30pm.
Riders that are interested in joining our open drill team or just learning more about drill are welcome!
Class cost is $30 and we can provide horses or you can bring your own with a negative coggins (copy printed)
We are located right in Woodstock IL and are happy to answer any additional questions!
We hope to host these classes once a month going forward with interest!

Hi all. I’m looking for a laid back pony gelding 12 h. He would have a great home here and if he’s not totally broke for showing, we can add to his training. He would be for my granddaughters and my few small students for trail and fun shows. Prefer kind of stocky build. If anyone is interested in leasing a driving mini at Double L, now through spring or summer, the cost is only the board ($160/mo). There are 2 other driving minis here, so you would have company when driving. You do need to know how to harness, hitch and drive or would need to take some lessons. Another update - I will have Thurs and Sat eve chores opening this month. I prefer someone who has some horse experience and if not 16 or older and driving, then a committed parent who will stay if needed while the youngster works. 5:30 pm to about 7 pm. Other chores may be available for earning extra time, if interested. Can put it towards lessons, trail rides or I will pay cash. Please call or text 815-546-7995 if interested. I am looking for someone interested in riding horses or driving minis who would do some chores to earn that. We are Double L Equestrian on Clark Rd and have been here for 22 years. I am semi retired from teaching and training, but still have a couple of lesson horses and a driving mini. Also board 2 horses and 2 minis. I'm looking for someone to do chores on Tues, Wed and Thurs mornings from 7 to 8 or 8:30 each week, continuing through winter. I can teach children or adults in exchange or if you already have experience and just want some riding time (or driving time), we can arrange that. When the weather is good, we can do obstacles outside, occasional trail rides and some fun shows. When the weather is bad, we can use the indoor arena. My horses are great lesson horses and have been to shows, trail rides and parades. However, we are not doing any jumping and any barrels/speed is just for fun. PM me if interested.
