A bit of awe via Rob Olson, a wildlife biologist and bird taxidermist in Richmond.
This from last November, and even more impressive in person.
I've only seen bald eagles in flight when I lived in the Puget Sound. These days I watch the eaglecam at https://naeaglecam.org/ who've had a bad time the last two years.

Did you know that members of federally recognized tribes are entitled to one Bald or Golden Eagle specimen in their lifetime?
It can be used for taxidermy or the feathers can be used for regalia, or whatever else as the owner of the specimen sees fit.
To be clear, NOBODY is allowed to hunt, take, or kill these birds. Every Eagle, including this one, that is held for an applicant was found dead and legally collected by means of a Salvage Permit.
I mounted this female Bald Eagle for a Native American about a year ago. I usually don’t post pictures of myself, but you can see how large these birds are in comparison to my 6 ft frame in one of the photos"
