This female has been running near Frank Meyers Rd in Cambridge City for the past few days. Thanks to the help of some concerned neighbors, she is now safe in our care. If you have any information on the owner, please call the shelter at 765-962-6811 or send a message.
Today is National Blind Dog Day and while not fully Blind, Brownie has no visibility in his left eye. Unfortunately, he was hit by a car and sustained damage to his left side.
You wouldn't know it if you met him! He's the best. He loves people, seems fine with other dogs, and doesn't initially mind the cats in our lobby.
He is still a puppy, at only 10 months old. He's neutered, vaccinated, and ready to find his new home!
This guy was found yesterday off W East Oler and Manning Rd. Proof of ownership is required to claim.
What an awesome week we have had for adoptions! Three kittens and six dogs have found their FUR-ever homes! Including Olga, our giant female Mastiff that had been here for over three years! It's amazing moments like this that keep us going through the hard times. We have to give a big thank you to all the families that opened their hearts and homes to animals in need! Every adoption saves more than just one animal!

Kennel Team Leader (M-F 6pm to 9:30pm) this position includes medication administration and leadership duties.
Kennel Technician (F, Sat, Sun 6pm to 9:30pm)
Kennel Technician (M-F 7am to 11am)
All positions include cleaning, sanitizing, and direct service with dogs of all sizes and cats. It is a physical job. Prior animal handling experience a plus. Priority given to applicants with flexible schedules.

We have had sooooo much interest in the Great Pyr who was left at our shelter this week, that there's not enough of her to go around. However, we do have several larger dogs who also need love! If you're ready to add to your family, please consider one of our many other dogs who are ready to go!

HELP is celebrating with Stryker, a 2.5-year-old Great Pyrenees/Shepherd mix. Stryker has the energy and playfulness of a puppy, and could benefit from stability and training. He is a loving boy who just wants pets and attention. We know he's good with other dogs and kids, but aren't sure how he feels about cats. We'd love to have you meet him!

This guy was found wandering US 40 near UHAUL (old Kmart) in Richmond this afternoon. If yours, we will need proof of ownership. The shelter will close at 4 today, but will reopen at noon on Tuesday.

This is Ruth, the sweet girl who was left at our shelter. She was quite matted and very uncomfortable, but her new haircut has her feeling so much better! She is a darling that just wants attention and affection. She will be ready for adoption in the coming weeks.

July has been a super busy month, but twenty two of our animals have found their FUR-ever homes! We can't thank our adopters enough for opening their hearts and homes to animals in need. Gracie is a 5yo female German Shepherd who is looking for her forever home. She is ready to go! Gracie is spayed, vaccinated, and friendly to most dogs. She's not a fan of cats though.
