WOW!! What a month! June was so busy we didn't have a chance to post the amazing adoptions that happened! We want to shout out a long-term dog that got adopted recently, CRACKLE, who spent 574 days in the shelter before finding her people. She's now settled and loving life in a home.

We will be CLOSED tomorrow, Friday July 4th in observance of Independence Day. We will reopen regular business hours on Saturday, July 5th from 12pm-4pm.

Please keep your pets safe and secured while enjoying the holiday. Make sure they have contact info on their collars, don't let them outside unsupervised after dark, and get walks in early. Enjoy.

The HELP the Animals Pet Costume Contest and Pet Walk is just around the corner, and it's the perfect way to enjoy a beautiful July morning while supporting a cause that's near and dear to our hearts. ❤️

This weekend our shelter had an amazing training with Dogs Playing for Life where we learned so much to better the quality of life for our residents.

It was hot, but the dogs figured out a way to stay cool really quickly! Lacey was definitely the boat captain! Stay tuned for more information about how we are incorporating what we learned!

Get ready to unleash the fun at Glenn Miller Park on Saturday, July 19th, 2025! We're kicking off a day of tail-wagging excitement, and it's all for a great cause.

Here's the scoop:

9:00 AM: Registration Opens! Sniff out the registration table and get your pet signed up for the most anticipated costume contest of the summer.

10:00 AM: Costume Contest Begins! Does your pup have the purr-fect costume? Is your pooch a super-pet in disguise? Now's their time to shine! Strut your stuff and see if your creative companion can win a pawsome prize.

10:30 AM: The Walk Starts! After the contest, we'll hit the beautiful trails of Glenn Miller Park for a refreshing summer stroll with our favorite companions.
