Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital at the Richmond SPCA The Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital providing quality low-cost care to ensure that pets remain in loving homes.

Our mission is to ensure that families of all means have access to treatment options they can afford for their canine and feline companions. As an expansion of the Richmond SPCA's pet-retention services, the Susan M. Markel Veterinary Hospital will help pets stay with their families while enjoying a greater quality of life. In addition to caring for pets of income-qualified families, the Susan M.

Markel Veterinary Hospital will also provide treatment for pets belonging to area municipal shelters, pets adopted from the Richmond SPCA, pets of Richmond SPCA employees and pets referred to the hospital by other veterinarians.

Our friends over at Richmond SPCA are hosting a FREE vaccine clinic! This is for dogs only and you don't even have to stand in line, it's carside service! Be sure to sign up fast as supplies are limited! This will be on Tuesday, November 4, 2025 between 9:30am-12:30pm!
