Ok I admit imma bit “mismatched” today in my Sunday/only day off lounging outfit. But I’m not going out in public!
However every time I step onto my porch, a huge fuzzy bumble bee 🐝 comes right over and hovers 12” from me, looking me over like I’m his dream come true.
I can almost hear his heart break when it turns out I’m NOT a giant walking flower garden.

I start my handmade Xmas cards in July. I’ve had a busy summer so I hadn’t worked on them much since I started. But each year I try to use my Spoonflower fabric to create the card.
This year I’m going simple with my CLEARWATER STRIPE in sorbet pink.

I had the copyright free Santa image printed on tissue from Zazzle and found the card stock and silk ribbon on Amazon.

I’m in the process of getting a Xmas quote also printed on tissue.
Once I get it glued inside, I’ll add glittery snowflakes, tiny rhinestones and lots of glitter.

Sooo many used for our Spoonflower fabrics!! I used the petal cotton.

Recalling the two Swedish Gustavian benches I constructed in seattle.
Wish I could have brought them to Virginia but space in my POD was so limited.
I found the simple plans on the Ana White blog.
She’s still cranking out free furniture construction plans!! They’re so easy to follow.
She lists everything you will need so shopping at Lowe’s or Home Depot is easy.

After months of entertaining various wallpapers and paint colors, I have landed on the pattern and colors I want in my art studio!

My BLOMMA jumbo floral in seaglass wallpaper will be on two walls whilst the two walls covered mostly by tall bookcases will be painted in a minty seaglass green by Sherwin Williams called WATERFALL!!

I’m so excited to begin.
Gonna take awhile due to a lack of days off.
Bought curtain material too, to sew up for the windows.
Will be a lovely bright room to create in.

Toured Agecroft Hall today in Richmond, Virginia. It was built in the 1400’s in Lancashire, England. Was abandoned in the late 1800’s and nearly collapsed by coal miners. A wealthy Richmond entrepreneur bought it and was able to salvage 1/3 of the building, which he brought to Virginia to have reconstructed in the 1920’s. Today it’s a museum. It’s filled with 16th and 17th C English furniture and accessories. The gardens though, are all 1920’s!! It was a beautiful day here.
