Meet Earl🐶
Earl is hoping he can soon give thanks for a furever family! He is a 22lb beagle and around 3 years old. Earl is a very playful boy and would do best in a home with another dog and maybe even young kids to play with! No bones about it, Amelia is ready to fall in love with you! She’s a typical fox hound-sweet, stubborn and incredibly affectionate and gentle. Amelia gets along wonderfully with cats and dogs and she would love a family who enjoys a good hike and has a large fenced in yard that she can run around in.

Happe is a foster based rescue, meaning we do not have a facility to house our adoptable dogs. In order to save more lives, we need more fosters- that’s where you come in! The rescue will cover the cost of medical visits, monthly preventatives, grooming (depending on breed) and food, all you need to do is open up your home to a dog in need. Contact us today! Earl is looking for a foster or furever home! We’re so happy that Earl’s skin is cleared up, but now that he’s feeling better his puppy energy is shining through and the resident dogs at his foster home aren’t liking his playful personality. He is a very loving 3 year old beagle and would do best in an active home with another playful pet or children to run around with! If you can open your home to fostering or, better yet, adopting Earl, please contact us!

🐾‼️MEET PUMA‼️🐾 Puma is a 6-month lab mix up to date on his vaccinations, very loving, happy, chill, good with kids, people, dogs, and have a little interest in cats, but he does want to play with them. He will be neuter on 05/01/2018. Puma’s first park walk ever with harness and leash walk was GREAT!!! He is doing amazing with his foster mom (in Chesterfield County), and his doggie brothers and sisters. He was a little afraid of the chihuahuas that kept chasing him but didn’t stop him from trying to make friends with them 😊. Puma will do great in a family environment with a doggie his size to play and romp with. He would do just fine with children 8+. His ideal forever home is with an active family to take him on long walks, hikes, keep him well socialized, and of course, love him like a family member. A fenced backyard is a MUST do this boy can sniff, run, be safe, and play.

Malcom. 8 yr old believed to be a lost hunting dog. The wonderful people at Colonial Heights Animal Shelter Volunteersr pulled him from Lunenburg County before he was euthanized. He could have been abused. But he's safe now. It's going to be a real long road but he's got a lot of potential. Live life HAPPE , #livelikecalvin.

Wow! We are so grateful to be chosen as an Angel Tree recipient with Swift Creek Pet Resort. Look at the donations I picked up today. We are very fortunate to have support from our community. Stay tuned for more pictures after it is unpacked and organized.

King Henry

Henry was going to be our Friday Foster Dog. We did not know that he would suddenly cross over the Rainbow Bridge in the wee hours of the morning due to uncontrollable seizures. Our hearts are heavy right now with sadness. Henry was a particular kind of dog. He was such a sweetheart, but his bark would make you jump if you weren't used to it. Our love and warm vibes go out to his foster parents who had to make that dreaded choice of letting him go peacefully across the bridge. Also to the volunteer that saved him from shivering out in the cold after his family moved and left him tied in the back yard. She saved Henry and Happe gave him a wonderful foster family that treated him like a king. We will miss you, Henry.
