Animal Care Alliance

ACA is a low cost veterinary clinic serving Richmond, Indiana and the surrounding area.

The Animal Care Alliance is a not-for-profit veterinary clinic working with the public and rescue groups to provide low-cost veterinary care for companion animals. Vaccinations, flea and heartworm preventatives, exams, spaying and neutering, and other surgeries are available from our team of seasoned veterinarians and professional staff.

She is giving Santa a break so he can get rested up for his big night of the year next week!

I’ve been advised to never post anything negative, but I can only take so much bashing of Animal Care Alliance…the non-profit that I founded and work for before I have to stand up for the organization and the good people who work there. An employee, who worked there for a few months, quit about a month ago. Since that time, Sara Nicole or “Creative Chaos” has made numerous social media posts accusing ACA of being unclean, uncaring and possibly infectious to animals. She has submitted negative Google reviews of our organization and has even made very specific complaints to IOSHA which I have responded to. Within the last two hours. It’s 8:51 pm now, we’ve gotten a Barred Owl that was hit by TWO vehicles on 121 and a Red Tailed Hawk hit by a vehicle in Laurel and transported by two Indiana Conservation Officers hoping to get help for the bird.
Our great staff have orchestrated several TNR events recently through which nearly 100 cats were altered saving many lives. Today, 16 dogs were fixed with help from Richmond and Wayne County that will undoubtedly prevent the births of countless puppies destined to be homeless, for who knows how long.
Instead of doing our jobs…taking care of injured wildlife, trying to help stray cats and fix unspayed dogs, we’re spending time fielding phone calls about the posts and talking about the negative things being said. How sad!
An afterthought! 7 veterinarians have worked at ACA within the last month. They’re evidently ok with the conditions at the clinic.

If you have been to our clinic you have met Pepper!
He is an absolute character and can often be seen rolling thru the clinic like a hamster in his wheel!
Pepper asked Santa for a loving home without cats as he is not fond of them at all! He is an absolute lovebug with humans! Pepper is so dog like we believe he would do well in a dog home!
Pepper asked Santa for some back up "Hamster Wheels" ( tho he won't need when he goes to a home but he wears them out at the clinic in his adventures), some new toys & some delicious treats!

Meet little Kevin! He isn't 6 months old yet and was so excited to ask Santa for a family of his own!
He's a smart, loving dog who just wants to play and please people!
He asked Santa for a nice new dog bed wherever he is at Christmas, some tough dog chew choices and some delicious treats!

Some of Pepper's adventures yesterday! He loves his "hamster wheel" lol Pepper loves humans and adventures but other cats not so much! This gets him exercise and socialization! He is a favorite at the clinic so help us find him the home he deserves! 😻

Just a story that made me smile! This week, I had a company come to my house to install better WiFi. I met a tall, dark skinned gentleman at home. He could hear dogs in the yard and kept asking, “no dogs inside?”. I did my best to assure the obviously uncomfortable man that my dogs were sweet and that he had nothing to be afraid of! Honestly, the whole situation made me nervous too. The man spoke with, what I thought was an African accent! I had difficulty understanding him. After about an hour and a half, I felt comfortable enough to ask him where he was from. He replied, “ “Nigeria” and that he’d been here for 8 years. Still trying to connect with this guy, I asked him to come to the fence and look at Zoya, our 85 pound Sulcata Tortoise, who is of African descent. He got a great big smile on his face as he was familiar with this species from his homeland. 💜 I showed him a couple of our educational animal ambassadors and after that, it was obvious that he cared about animals! Isn’t it wonderful that the love of animals can transcend language/cultural barriers! 💙
