Fun Fact Friday❕

Did you know that PATH Intl. CTRIs (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructors) need 20 hours of continuing education every two years?

Caroline will be spending her weekend at Main Stay Therapeutic Farm for her continuing education hours and more learning. Caroline can’t wait to bring more knowledge back to help riders, horses, and staff.

🌟 Meet Our New Head Instructor: Caroline Ferguson! 🌟

We are thrilled to welcome Caroline Ferguson as Sunrise’s new head instructor! 🐴💙

Caroline has been around horses and riding English for over 21 years, though she won’t say no to a little Western riding! She started riding at just 8 years old in England, continuing for three years before moving to Egypt, where she spent a decade riding majestic Egyptian Arabians around the Giza pyramids. In 2011, she moved to the U.S. and began volunteering at Wish Upon a Horse in Hilton Head Island, SC.

After five years of volunteering, Caroline pursued her PATH Intl. certification, earning her PATH Intl. CTRI (Certified Therapeutic Riding Instructor) certification in 2016. She has spent the past eight years teaching adaptive therapeutic riding to students with cognitive, physical, and emotional disabilities. In 2021, she achieved her second certification as a PATH Intl. ESMHL (Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning).

Caroline is passionate about helping riders grow in their skills and confidence. We can’t wait for our participants to learn from her expertise and love for equine-assisted therapy! 🐎💛

Join us in giving Caroline a warm Sunrise welcome! ☀️👏
