It is with a very heavy heart that I am sad to announce that we lost Shutterfly this morning. He was a unique and irreplaceable part of our lives.

I was lucky enough to spot Shutterfly as an immature and gangly talent at age 6 during the show in Rastede. He came to my stable a few months later. I was fortunate enough to share the next 24 years of his life with him. We just recently celebrated his 30th birthday.

Shutterfly aka “Petey” started as a doubtful, unsure youngster and blossomed into one of the greatest horses to ever live. He won 3 World Cup Finals, 2 Top Ten Finals, the Rolex Grand Prix of Aachen, amongst many other prestigious titles. He brought me to the top of the World Ranking list, as the only women ever, where I was able to enjoy #1 for 24 months. Shutterfly won the Preis von Europa in Aachen against the best in the world at age 18, just before his retirement ceremony there in front of his adoring crowd.

We will miss the kind and sweet-hearted Petey who stuck his nose in the baby carriage and softly nuzzled my daughter Brianne just days after she was born. I am sure that caress gave her the passionate love for horses she has today.

I will miss you my friend and I appreciate every moment I had with you. You were the greatest partner anyone could ever have. You will never be forgotten Petey. Rest in peace my love. ❤️

This is the very first young mare that I ever bought in Germany. I found her at Gestut Bergman in Vechta. She was a small 2 yr old by Donnerschwee out of a Grundstein mare.
She came to Vermont and gave me 4 wonderful foals before becoming a competition horse. She retired this past year at PSG (at21) and is still absolutely sound with no maintenance. She loves her life here in WA and I hope will eventually teach my granddaughters how to ride.
There really are magical creatures amongst us, we just have to recognize them. ❤️

It’s with a heavy heart that I want to share the passing of our wonderful broodmare Feodana (Silvi). She has been our most reliable and consistent mare, who produced mostly all Elite foals by several different stallions. A truly special mare in all respects, I was SO lucky to have shared the past 20 years with her. Thank you, Silvi, for all the joy you’ve given to so many who knew you! Your legacy lives on in all your foals! 💕

Arissa, sired by Starlight out of our Elite Rubinstein mare, was specifically bred to be a dressage horse. She won the Jumper Champion at her Oldenburg Mare Performance Testing and has gone on to be a competitive hunter. She’s a good example of how the horse ends up dictating her future.

Mary Bergay, of Ambition Equestrian in Colorado, recently sent us the news that one of our grown up babies (Oodles = Olivier x Silvi) just won the USDF Region 5 Junior/Young Rider 1st Level Champion. Trained by Holly Bergay and ridden by Kenzie Riddell. Another outstanding Silvi daughter. Congratulations to all 👏🎉

SILVI’s LEGACY! This is Silvi’s granddaughter by Quateron and her first c**t by Furst Toto. This photo was sent to me by Ann-Kathryn Bergman. Over 17 years ago we purchased three super mares from Gestut Ingrid Bergman in Germany. That launched our breeding program. We still own two of them (still riding sound) and one is still competing at the upper levels successfully. We can’t thank Gestut Ingrid Bergman enough for trusting us with their beautiful mares
