This is your annual reminder to check your horses for fungal skin problems caused by moisture and mud. I am not a vet. This is not medical advice. But this is what I do for my horses and mules during the Southeast TX wet season. #blackcatmules #homeremedy #mudfever #scratches.

Silver was not impressed with Eli’s attempts to flirt with her when she first came down from Missouri for her 30 day tune up before AHCA Nationals #mares #nopetting #bucksin #firstimpressions #grumpy #blackcatmules
Flashback to HQH Poco Diamond Silver (Honeybee’s big sister) on her first time at the beach. I really enjoyed spending 30days prepping this gritty mare and then showing her for Hutson Quarter Horses at American Horsemen Challenge Assn Nationals. #buckskin #gritty #marepower #beachride #AHCA #aqhaproud #beach #blackcatmules

Black Cat Mules & More is now booking outside horses and mules for 2024.
If you’ve been wanting to send your horse or mule over to fix problem behaviors, get a little tune up, add finishing and finesse or have a youngster started under saddle with a solid foundation, send me a message so we can start discussing training plans and packages/pricing. Rates vary based on which program will best suits the needs and goals of you and your critter.
30 day minimum on all client horses and mules
60-90 days not required, but highly encouraged to plan for a longer stay when it comes to colt starts, but that depends on what level of start you’re wanting vs where your youngster is at mentally and physically.
I will answer inquiries in the order that they come in, text is best: 281-723-3662
Happy Trails to Gus! What a smart boy 😎
Can’t wait for the dirt to pack in on my new climbing structure so the mules and short ears can play. This is going to be a really useful tool for helping them practice careful foot placement and impulse control.
Who do you think will be the first nosey one to climb it on their own out in the pasture? I think my money is on Eli… maybe Harvey.
Shout out to Crystal and Glenn for putting on a fun and relaxing weekend ride where Peanut got a chance to test pretty much everything we’ve been working on.
The smart yella pony did all the things!
Stood tied overnight and didn’t make a fuss, went grazing in his hobbles at camp, rode front/back/middle of the group, neck reined well enough to drink beer and relax, got right up to the wagon for throwing away empties and getting refills, carried loaded saddle bags, ground tied on break, and even put up with some bareback silliness and helped give a lesson on how to sit the trot better.

Hatch’s first time using rein chains. I think he wants to be a vaquero bridle pony when he grows up
Go man! GO!
Harvey was ready to pour on some coals this evening 🔥🔥🔥
