Enjoyed a walk at this morning with my best girl!

We are grateful that dogs are allowed in this beautiful place.

I encourage our clients to take a visit here if you haven’t already! Photos really don’t do it justice. The fall colors were pristine today!

If you bring your pup be sure to be respectful of the grounds!

Ample supplies to clean up after your animals is a *must*. The grounds are lovely, crisp, and clean-let’s keep it that way so we can continue to enjoy this wonderful place! Trash cans are readily available throughout.

We can’t wait to go back soon 💕!

Welcome Cormac to DeNovo Canine!

This sweet guy has arrived for a Basic Board and Train Program to focus on his leash manners and performing basic commands with stability and duration around distractions. A social butterfly, Cormac sometimes struggles with over enthusiastic greetings and jumping behavior.

We can’t wait to help this guy build more impulse control so he can enjoy going more places with his family 💪!

Enjoyed a new today with the gang.

So beautiful and relaxing!

Our dogs are fully remote collar trained and off leash reliable, but some days it’s just what the doctor ordered for me be able to fully relax knowing we are the only dogs on property and do not have to worry about encountering out of control animals/dogs with no recall along the trail 💕!

On a more serious note, we hope everyone stays safe during this heatwave.

It’s hard to walk around in 98 degree weather barefoot and wearing a fur blanket- so make sure to check for hot pavement when taking your dog out, carry lots of water, and stick to early morning and evening walks when you adventure with your dog this week!

Board and Train Raine is making tremendous progress with her obedience and confidence in new environments- and she isn’t even done with her program yet! We love helping our dogs grow and develop better coping mechanisms so they can enjoy more time in public with their families. Proper communication and accountability for known behaviors has allowed her confidence to really soar. We love seeing this girl’s happy attitude and prance really come to light downtown! Board and Train Jonesy enjoys a farm hike due to his reliable off leash recall! Jonesy came to us struggling with some dog reactivity. Got down stability? Maggie sure does! Maggie enrolled in our program to work on her leash manners and impulse control. As an adolescent Chocolate Lab, she is choc full of energy and is super sweet, but she came in a littttttle bit rowdy and pulled like a small freight train 😂! There is of course a time and a place for play and exuberance, but there is also a place for quiet and calm. Maggie worked hard this past week to learn which environments and situations called for calm composure. That balance is so important! She rocked her field trip to Home Depot today and is now a pleasure to walk and take shopping! We can’t wait for her family to enjoy more outings and additional time with her due to her good behavior and impulse control. What a good girl! DeNovo Canine Millie is learning how to respond to e collar communication, particularly via an unconditional recall, out along the trails. Prior to training Millie would often go exploring but refuse to come back to her handler because she did not want to have to go home! Her owner was concerned Millie might hurt herself or run into trouble because of this behavior, and rightfully so! Does your dog reliably come when called? Can you safely recall them off of wildlife, other dogs, and people at a moment’s notice? A reliable off leash recall is a wonderful way to help keep your best friend safe in a plethora of situations. NOW it is so satisfying to see Millie enjoy running, sniffing, and playing SAFELY. Remote collar training can be such a wonderful gift for both handler and canine. We love watching a dog’s confidence and happiness absolutely skyrocket when an e collar is used properly. We can’t wait for Millie to enjoy her newfound freedom, and for her handler to have more peace of mind that she is doing so safely. No shut down or scared dogs here 💪!
