Happy Monday and Election Day eve! Opinions wanted: do you like this mock up for our new horse trailer? This is just the front design. The sides and back door will host logos and contact info. Also-THANK YOU ♥️🙏♥️ to the amazing Kara and Eden Project donor who gifted our RACC Foundation the funds to purchase this trailer. Happy First Anniversary to the Kara and Eden Project. Many thanks to the awesome RACC staff - especially CCP and Savannah who have made this a success! The community support has been amazing. This is a long term play to reduce unwanted litters in Richmond City and we look forward to the day when no puppy or kitten is born unwanted.

Thanks so very much to the team at Jones Veterinary Care PLLC for fixing 20 cats (on their day off!) for our City of Richmond community today! Our Kara and Eden Project sponsored all expenses. ❤️ Hooray for spay and neuter!

Eden says less cats in the world is a good thing!

Get excited! Our incredible Kara and Eden Project is sponsoring 40 cat spay/neuter surgeries! Monday September 9 & 23 we are partnering with Jones Veterinary Care PLLC to fix 20 cats per day. If you are a City of Richmond resident and have a cat (NOT feral/colony) who needs to be fixed please email [email protected]. Spots fill quickly! Hooray!

This organization is awesome - and they had a great week of adoptions but dogs can have litters of 8-10 so 2-3 dogs giving birth creates more new dogs needing homes than this rescue adopted out in a week. SPAY AND NUETER YOUR PET PEOPLE. We cannot adopt our way over this overpopulation problem.

What a week!! Some of our long term residents found furever families!! Thank you all so much for liking and sharing our posts. It really does make a difference.

Spay and Neuter your pet - in this case a spay would have saved her life!

Last night we tried really hard to save a dog. We didn’t win and it was heartbreaking. 💔 She was 11yrs old, and surrendered by her owner because she was sick. The sickness turned out to be pyometra, which is an infection of the uterus. The infection spreads if not caught quickly and the pet can go septic. The frustrating part of this story, is she would be alive today if she was spayed. The even more frustrating part, is WE PROVIDE FREE spay/neuter surgeries to any city resident pet in need through our Kara and Eden Project. Please help us help you! Email [email protected] for more info on our s/n fund. Thank you to Dr. Torrence at VVC for trying and for kindly ending her suffering when we couldn’t save her. 😭 Ugh. So VERY SAD!
