Please join us is celebrating our first Thanksgiving Foster Fail—and it’s a big win!♥️🎉 ♥️ Take the High Road was one of our longest residents and struggled in the shelter environment. 😭 We are grateful to our team and extra training from Steve with out Forever Home Fundamentals program for working hard to save her. 🙏 SO THANKFUL for our lifesaving Thanksgiving program and for beautiful people who open up their hearts and homes to a shelter pet in need. Email [email protected] if you want to sign up to host a pet for the holiday!

Talk about a redemption story…when you see the before and after (if your eyes can handle it) this little lady wins the world! 🏆 Meet Collar Pop—a 9yr old, 10 lb chi mix who has a lot to say. She’s sassy and sweet and cuddly and yells like a 80 year old smoker at dogs when they get too close. We love her to bits. ♥️ Collar Pop was rescued by our team (shout out to Officer Norfleet) with an ingrown collar which turned out to be a small rope. 🤬 Her neck was severed on all sides and the rope required surgical removal —see our RACC Medical Pics page (WARNING GRAPHIC). Through it all, Collar Pop remained sweet and full of life. She’s all healed up now and ready for a new home; can you help us find her the best family today? She would probably prefer to be the only pet in the home (maybe cats or another small dog), but her yelling with a smoker voice says no to other big dogs! No! 🤣 Email [email protected] to set an adoption appointment today and please include how you will love her forever like she deserves. We LOVE Collar Pop!

🎉🎉ADOPTED 🎉🎉Very sad to share that we lost our horse Tyler last night. 💔 He had been doing great; gaining weight, ate his breakfast yesterday, but around dinner time was acting off and went down outside and again in his stall. We were able to get him up and our Woodside Equine Clinic team rushed to our rescue to define that he had a lipoma in his small intestines that had twisted and was strangling his bowels. 😭 Emergency colic surgery is the Hail Mary for this situation but he was in so much pain and the risk was too great so we made the hard chance to euthanize him late last night. Thank you to Savannah (our RACC horse teammate) for helping us say goodbye. 💔 Here’s where we need YOUR HELP TODAY. Stu was besties with Tyler and needs to leave our barn asap because we don’t have any other horses on site. Horses are herd animals and they need buddies for comfort. Stu is a 20 yr old Tennessee Walker who is an easy keeper; social and safe. We are looking for a non-riding home, pasture friend style (preferably with his own stall) who will let him live out his days. Previous posts outline his mass removal came back as a carcinoma and we are doing chemotherapy. I know this is a big ask (RACC is covering the chemo expenses; thanks to our Foundation), but he needs a soft place to land until he joins Tyler in heaven. It could be 5 months or 5 years and we need someone who is game to let him live happily until the time comes; we do not want him in a situation again where he wasn’t receiving proper vet care. Can you help us find a home for Stu today? Email [email protected] with your farm info, vet references and why you are open to a hospice horse adoption. He deserves this second chance at life. 🙏

Ganderin Goose has been waiting way too long for someone to notice her… and we can’t figure out why! 😫 This girl is pure sunshine wrapped in fur — social, affectionate, full of kisses, and always ready for her next adventure. 🐾

🖤 Why You’ll Love Her:
• Friendly with other dogs — she’s got a confident, playful style and would LOVE a buddy who can keep up!
• Energetic, bouncy, and silly in the very best way
• A total lovebug who thinks cuddles + smooches are part of the daily routine
• Curious explorer with a busy-body spirit — she’s always looking for fun!

💡 What She Needs:
Because Goose is a young, high-energy gal, she’ll thrive with a family who can help her refine her manners and continue her training. She’s also a bit intense around food, so a home with kids 10+ and no cats is best.

If you’re searching for a dog who will make you laugh daily, keep you active, and smother you in affection… Ganderin Goose is the gal for you! 🪿
