Wednesday through Friday from 12PM - 6PM, Saturday from 12PM - 5PM, and Sunday from 12PM - 4PM.

Fuji Apple is the snuggliest orange guy in town. Seriously! He crawls in your lap and will drool with love.🧡 Fuji is around a year old and arrived to RACC with an injury to his right femur. He had surgery to repair it and is on the tail end of his recovery journey!🧡 He does not seem to mind other cats and dogs, he just wants a lap he can lay in whenever he desires. 🤣
We are open again tomorrow!

Meet sweet girl Cauldron!
She’s looking for a fresh start on life and deserves nothing but love and a comfy home. She is good with dogs who like to share space, she’s not big into playing. She also passed the cat test! She can be a little timid, so she would benefit from a patient adopter who knows how to help dogs feel more comfortable❤️

On this Cyber Monday we hope you will support our diaper drive for the City of Richmond, VA Government Department of Social Services. Yes, human diapers—stay with us; there is a story coming. Each Christmas, RACC hosts a supply drive for another department or non-profit doing amazing work in our community. This year we’ve chosen to support the angels at both Child and Adult Protective Services in the City. Here’s the story—a few years ago we (along with Richmond Police Department) executed a search warrant in a home for suspected animal cruelty. What we walked into was like a house of horrors. There were guns and drugs (naturally), but we weren’t prepared for the number of used needles and condoms littering every surface imaginable. Picture this—full swat team plus ACO’s in a tiny home littered with drug paraphernalia, lots of yelling and commotion, people being arrested and in the midst of it all—these two little children sitting at the dining room table completely unaffected “doing their homework”. Are you weeping yet? We were on the brink. 😭 So our Director sat at the table with them and drew pictures and talked with them about their dogs that we were going to help. We waited until the maddness reduced a bit and for the incredible CPS team to engage. We will be forever grateful that there are people who help the children. ♥️ People who make their space safe and have their best interests in mind. We left that house with a profound respect for all the angel City Social Services warriors who fight for the people who can’t fight for themselves. 🙏 To that end—we want to help them in a way that’s easy and effective. When Social Services removes children or adults from unsafe situations, quick supplies to hand to interim caregivers is essential. Diapers are an immediate need and one we can help furnish their team. Will you help us help them? Any brand, any size, both adult on child are needed. We need all your prayers and well wishes for this little angel. 😇 Meet Turkey—he was just found with another neonatal puppy and is in critical condition. He has a very low temp and blood pressure but we are going to TRY! 🙏 Thanks to everyone who supports our RACC Foundation that gives us the ability to say “yes, please try” to every animal in need. We know it’s a long shot—but we believe is a good ol’ Hail Mary! Let’s try and save Turkey! 🙏♥️🙏
