Chickens, rabbits and pigs, oh my! Slowing growing Here at Feather foots barn yard you can find different kinds of pets and farm animals.

We also can take in animals that are unwanted or can no longer be cared for, no questions asked. We provide a loving caring place for them to live, until we are able to rehome them. We sell fresh farm eggs daily, we have chicks and chickens of different ages for sale. we should soon have quail available
we raise meat rabbits and breeders, buy and sell. we also are getting into lion head bunnies. we have pigs and should have piglets this summer.

Prices of eggs in stores are crazy! Hannaford around $8 a dozen , family dollar almost $9 a dozen , now I’m seeing a lot of farms and backyard chicken keepers jumping on the train and raising their prices and keeping it just under the prices at the stores. Yes our fresh farm eggs should cost more than the stores , why because they are FRESH! They haven’t been sitting around for weeks.
Now with that being said , should my farm jump at this opportunity and raise our prices? Yes we should! More money for us !!
I bust my ass everyday, out in the freezing cold for hours each day , feeding watering half dozen times a day cleaning etc. why wouldn’t I want to take opportunity to make a little extra money while prices are good?
I could probably easily get $5,6,7 a dozen right now, instead of $4 a dozen.

I am Happy to say , our prices will NOT change !!! $4 a dozen and that’s where it will stay unless something happens like grain prices go up.
Just like our baked goods and other things we sell , I keep my prices low , times are hard on everyone right now people are struggling I make sure we make a little off items we sell it’s not much, still won’t make enough to buy my cow next month but it’s enough to keep us going!

Oh my baby bunnies Unfortunately I found one on the ground , still alive but not doing well, very cold we are trying to get it warmed up my moms got it on a heating pad now fingers crossed and praying it make it These guys are deep underground almost 2 weeks old now!

Not sure how true this is , I’m gonna have to do a little research
