The heat index is supposed to be at 114 degrees today in the our area. Please keep your pets indoors and be mindful of their time in the heat, it only takes 5 minutes for a dog to show signs of a heat stroke. If you are taking your pet to the beach make sure the have shade and fresh water: drinking salt water can be fatal in large amounts.

If you suspect your dog is having a heat stroke contact the nearest emergency facility ASAP.
