Thank you for the amazing support with blankets! Please consider donating any additional blankets to the local humane society as they always need them.
If you haven’t already heard, we’ll be doing curbside through the summer.
It’s so easy, a dog could do it. 😉
Can you tell what this video is of? A teeny tiny baby kitten on ultrasound 🐱
It only took getting let out a couple of times for this young mama cat to get pregnant.
Who cares about vaccines when peanut butter is involved! 😊
Who knew getting an x-ray was this relaxing 😴
We were able to perform an exam and give vaccines to this busy girl without her noticing thanks to our lickimat distraction. #fearfreevisit #canineenrichment
August 15th is “Check the Chip Day.” One of our assistants microchipped her blue heeler Chief shortly after she got him at 8 weeks old. Upon scanning him today, she discovered that he somehow did not have a microchip and confirmed it with an x-ray. If Chief had gotten lost and scanned for a microchip by a Good Samaritan, the lack of a chip number would have made it difficult for him to find his way back home. This serves as a reminder to have your pet scanned at their annual wellness visit to confirm their microchip is still working 😊
*Chief was implanted with a new microchip today which was double-checked several times 😉* #checkthechipday
One of our assistants Shelbie knew something was wrong when her cat Shadow was vomiting and refusing food. Shelbie immediately brought Shadow in for diagnostics and it was suspected that she may have a foreign body in her intestines. Dr. Maxey and Shelbie elected to open Shadow up for exploratory surgery and discovered that she did in fact, have a linear foreign body (long black sewing string). The string was removed and some of her intestines ultimately had to be removed. Shadow is at home and doing very well now. If she could talk, she would probably thank Dr. Maxey and Shelbie for being so good at their jobs.
Uh Marley, ya got something on your face
Ivy enjoying her laser therapy 😎
Laser therapy works wonders for wounds, arthritis and tendon or soft tissue injuries. Ivy is receiving laser therapy today for her IVDD which is very common in dachshunds. If you are interested in laser therapy or have a pet that may benefit from it give us a call!

Have you ever wondered what ear mites look like under the microscope?
Welcome to "What Breed Wednesday." Nicknamed the "American Gentleman" after their tuxedo-like coloring, this was the first official breed established in the United States.
