Palmetto Animal League (PAL) is a 501-c-3 non-profit, no kill animal rescue organization that believes every animal deserves a second chance at life. PAL’s Adoption Center, located in Okatie, South Carolina, serves as a temporary residence for approximately 200 dogs and cats while they wait to find a loving home. This comfortable, upbeat facility is also home to PAL's Veterinary Clinic, which offe

rs wellness exams, vaccines and other services to pet owners at affordable prices. PAL uses the proceeds to rescue more abandoned, abused and neglected animals and place them in loving homes. In addition, PAL manages a network of loving foster families to house and care for pets too young or too weak to be adopted. In November, Palmetto Animal League adopters will be taking home more than just their new pet thanks to Girl Scout Morgan Congleton! For her Girl Scout project, Morgan created special adoption bags, including toys and other essentials to help new pet parents welcome home their cat or dog. She caringly customized over 100 bags for small dogs, large dogs, cats, and kittens. Her philanthropic heart and attention to detail are going to make going home that much better for the deserving pets at PAL and their new families. Thank you Morgan for going above and beyond to help shelter pets as they head off to their forever homes.

Six beautiful kittens are lucky to be alive thanks to an observant member of our community. They were left by a dumpster behind a business last night, and had the driver not heard one of the kittens crying, they would've been crushed. Palmetto Animal League was ready to help when the kittens were brought to our Adoption Center around dinner time. We are so glad these hungry, little babies will get to experience the loving care they deserve.
